Very powerful, painful photo.

The saddest photo I've ever seen. I'm a homeless outreach activist in Toronto. I help people like him get off the streets, and even if I can't, I help him feel loved.

So sad - black and white makes him look particularly fragile against the strong legs and coats passing by

One super powerful shot, Sam. Perhaps Stefanie Romano or others could find a way to use this in campaigning to help street people.
I very nearly became a street person simply as a person campaigning to get multi-family housing built with better soundproofing. What this society is getting in condos drives me crazy with noise. Just Google noisy condo and see for yourself the many thousands who feel the same. Try this link which is an article with my criticism to it http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/toronto/archive/2008/04/10/urban-etiquette-silencing-the-noisy-condo-neighbours.aspx . Before Google fudged the numbers about 2 years ago there were as many as 3 million pages.

......... even in Toronto.

Quite a contrast to the day before where people were lining up to buy iPads - a luxury item that most of them probably don't need. Well, NO one actually NEEDS one -- but it's an interesting and heartbreaking comparison to this image.
