Comments: trapped bike ring

You just lost a fan. If you're going to use your pictures as a political soapbox, do it for something meaningful, not for being a goddamn crybaby. There are more bike lanes and new bike rings in Toronto than ever before so shut the hell up.

Does this mean they don't want bikes parked there in the winter? The whole thing is new to what I would have noticed 40 years ago there. I suppose,if they plow the path, it's a good idea.

@Mike look in the mirror and see what a crybaby really looks like.

Don't worry. Cycling is in Toronto's blood. We'll brave through any tough times. People in some cities expect everything handed to them, some take this to the extreme and try to bribe government in their interests, but we'll work for the best.

Have no fear, Toronto is much stronger than one man.

Wow, Mike. Calm down bud. Everyone is entitled to their opinion...even you, but be polite about it (we're Canadians!! We can disagree civilly.) I am a suburban resident, who drives a car and doesn't own a bike...but I still appreciate Sam's position and can see the merits for a diverse public transit system. I love subways, and wide lanes...were they make sense (i.e. high traffic areas) - but sometimes the best thing is light rail and bike lanes.

Personally I appreciate photography that does more than just "look nice." You're the photographer, so if you want to integrate photos with more overt meanings than others, go for it. And what's politically important to one photographer may not be to another, but in my opinion that's the beauty of photography. Each person brings their own perspective to the world, seeing different things, or seeing the same things in different ways. Keep on.

Excellent, the cage will provide more room for more bikes to be chained up!

I love the juxtaposition of textures... the crazy weepy vegetation, the woven wire of the basket, the smooth sidewalk...
