Comments: stairs and silo

Great lines. They keep your eye moving around the photo. Intriguing.

Imagine doing a fire drill and walking down those fire escape stairs!

I love how the sharp, mechanical angles of the crane are echoed in the stairway. I've been ignoring my digital camera for months now, but this has inspired me. A fantastic observation and composition!

LOVE this. Every time I see that building I always want to take photos of it. This may have to be my new wallpaper on my desktop.

I have been intrigued by this building since the 1940's when I would watch the Toronto Maple Leaf Baseball team of the International Baseball League (triple "AAA") playing at Maple Leaf Stadium at the foot of Bathurst St.
Sitting in the bleachers, you could see Canada Malting Building to the east, beyond the left field fence.
It was my childhood dream to see some slugger hit a long home run over the left field fence far enough to hit the Canada Malting Building. It never happened.
Thanks for the great photo. I'm sorry to see this old building disappear.

Compelled to comment two days in a row! Great observation here- fantastic composition and tonal quality to the shot. Once more I find an echo of something familiar in the photo- does anyone else pick up a Banksy vibe in the almost stencilled starkness of the digger and the stairs? Maybe it's just me?!
