Love this. I don't know why, but tilt-shift (effect) always has this special place in my heart and makes me go 'awwww...!' :p

Brilliant, simply brilliant! Both in concept and execution.
Moral lesson: That which takes much time to create, can be destroyed in almost no time at all.
Congratulations!

Well done, both photo and video. I am a bit unsure if the miniature filter in the image is really necessary - in my eyes it's a bit intrusive.

Posted by Markus Spring at October 19, 2010 08:19 AM

Awesome. What happened on the first night? It was like a bomb or something went off. Did the bridge fall down?

Posted by Reio at October 19, 2010 08:23 AM

Great video Sam. Lets hope those machines never take over!

Posted by Bill Symmons at October 19, 2010 08:32 AM

Great! It reminds me of those timelapse of the maggots eating the dead whatever.

Posted by Gretchen at October 19, 2010 08:42 AM

Great,
how did you find the place and ask them to put your camera there ?!
thanks

Awesome time-lapse.

Posted by Dan at October 19, 2010 08:56 AM

wow, it looks like insects eating something. wild

Posted by ania at October 19, 2010 09:08 AM

That's very cool. In the photo, they look like tinker toys. Nice work.

Posted by Kathy at October 19, 2010 09:16 AM

I like the shallow DOF on the photo, and the video is really great! What strikes me the most with is is that the traffic in the background is more or less a never ending stream of cars. Does not anyone sleep in this city?

Posted by Morten at October 19, 2010 10:03 AM

wow when I first saw this I thought it was a toy set!

Posted by MattO at October 19, 2010 10:10 AM

I live 3 blocks from there and had no idea that was happening... That's amazing! Thanks for capturing this.

Posted by Mark at October 19, 2010 02:37 PM

Wow, this is really excellent work, Sam. Totally worthy of a larger-scale showing sometime.

Posted by Kimberly Way at October 19, 2010 05:32 PM

How did you get that crazy depth of field?

Posted by jim at October 19, 2010 07:03 PM

Wow. The demolition company would totally buy that from you. Not that I think your art is up for sale. Just sayin'.

Posted by Kikipotamus at October 19, 2010 09:06 PM

Sam! This is awesome.

I wonder if there will be a construction to build it back up. It'd be cool if you could time-lapse that too!

Posted by Patrick at October 19, 2010 11:15 PM

Unbelievable...Bravo

How did you dare leaving your camera outside for few days?! I hope you didn't do it with 5D mark II :))
