Comments: planes, cars and a red canoe

Sam, I seriously don't want to get all politically correct on you, but it's a little close to 9-11 for this, don't you think?

I think your site has been red flagged by the internet police...

Just want to also go on record as saying that's a great shot!
:^)

Well, yeah! I got that 9-11 feeling too, but it is a great shot and just maybe makes a good point - whatever that is.
I don't think Sam's inclined to shoot more than photos, however.

Great photo, but a little too similar to 9/11 to feel comfortable looking at it.

About a minute later after reading these comments: "Oh...this shot of the air show reminded them of 9/11". Considering yesterday's shot was also related to the air show, which takes place every year over the Labour Day long weekend, this wasn't a bad choice.

I think it's fine personally. I am more concerned that you can see my bedroom window in this picture!!!

what a bizarre way to live - in these little glass cubicles...ah! LOVE the red canoe! Yea. The shot is great, of course.

Yesterday's was great too! - but there's something about this one I like more. It's the layers of transportation you have going here I think.

Those that said this photo reminds them of 9/11 must have no concept of size or perspective.

seriously? people shouldn't show pictures that include both city buildings and planes anywhere near the 11th of september? how long should we hold off, exactly? i hate how we americans assume our history should be at the forefront of everyone else's life. the date belonged to the chilean coup until recently.

Didn't think of 9/11 at all when I saw it. Great shot & I love the random red canoe. :)

just one word a big WOW

Posted by Shikher at September 9, 2010 06:21 AM

In retrospect, what I should have written was "Hey, that shot reminds me a bit of 9/11"
I would never suggest that Sam edit his photos on anyone's account, especially mine.

I don't see how 9/11 has any relevance here, and it didn't even occur to me. There was an Air Show in Toronto, and Flickr is full of shots of it. Most photoblogs try to keep current or topical, and it you live here, you couldn't miss the noise of the planes.

I love the snowbirds. :)

As always a great and up to date representation of a sample of what happens in the city of Toronto. As always an unbias picture of just an event that happens every year on this date in Toronto, and Yes the airshow happens to be very close to the city that has lotsa buildings. Great shot!

Great photo. I like how everything is dreary except the bright red canoe.

9/11 is important for Canadians and Torontonians as well, so we shouldn't just brush it off as American history. War in Afghanistan, terrorist plots involving Toronto landmarks uncovered, Canadians killed in the New York attacks - it affected us in so many ways. It affected the Western world profoundly.

I saw that photo and a chill went up my spine. Two planes, two buildings. September. I just didn't like it. Sorry. De gustibus non disputandum est. All the best! I loved the paparazzi pics!
