Posted by Clarence Johnson at August 19, 2010 08:00 AMDude! You haven't seen the movie yet? GO! I haven't seen anything like it, and if only from a visual design perspective, of all people you have to see that movie.
Oh, and great shot here. Works great in black and white.
Posted by Scott at August 19, 2010 09:16 AMYou should DEFINITELY go see the movie. It's great!
Posted by Nicole at August 19, 2010 11:53 AMGreat looking b&w image and it also reminded me of India but seeing the tracks told me cable car.

Posted by Sean at August 19, 2010 05:23 PMMy first thought was..."But it's so colourful!". Hope you will post a colour photo of Sneaky Dees some time. The food there is pretty good.
Posted by Lisa at August 19, 2010 06:25 PMThe movie is great and I think that all Torontonians should see it to supports films set in Toronto. Filling in for other cities is fine to an extent but when none of the films made here are actually set here, then there's a problem.
My second point which compliments the first is that I think your blog is very important. Torontonians want to see their urban experiences in art and people from around the world are interested in it as well. A lot of artists in Toronto like to create abstract works and that's fine but we need more art that depicts and references Toronto. I think your photography helps us satisfy our craving to see our metropolis in art instead of New York or Paris all the time.
Posted by A.R. at August 19, 2010 11:16 PMBit too much contrast for my liking, but black and white was a good choice.
Posted by ben at August 20, 2010 01:36 AMyou should read the comics first!
Posted by shell at August 20, 2010 02:14 AMLove all those lines and curves - great shot. The one and only time I've been to Toronto was in 1995 and I rememeber Sneaky Dees well - I think I even bought the backpackers-standard t-shirt ;-)
