My goodness... that's outstanding! Thanks for sharing, as always.

The tilt-shift work done here is really effective, nice work.

I like this effect; very nice work!

Nice urban morning view...

I wonder if you ever use the tilt shift lens to actually correct the converging lines in architectural photos - what I believe was the original idea and use of such devices. That's what I used if for in photographing furniture 60 years ago.

An aMAZing shot. At first glance I took it to be a sepia out of your archive files (grin!).
Amazing too because this is a significant part of Toronto (Gardiner/Queensway) shot from a rare angle. Most shots are from the west looking towards downtown core. This shot shows "daily life", as it were.

Thanks for the images.

Absolutely beautiful. It's been awhile since I've done any TS stuff myself.

This is really nicely done! How did you achieve the tilt-shift effect in post??

Posted by Colin at August 10, 2010 01:13 PM

Sam, I bet you are the only one who could take a picture of a multi-laned, busy highway and make it look gorgeous!
This is another one of yours that I could look at for quite some time.

The tilt/shift effect with this light, really works. Love how the back layers away in blur.

I love it Sam, your treatment on this image really turned it into something unique.

This is beautiful. Can you describe how you achieve the T/S effect in post-processing, please?

Posted by Rancid Owl at August 10, 2010 07:38 PM

Posted by desfocado at August 10, 2010 07:59 PM

where's closer ave.?

Posted by kevin at August 10, 2010 11:39 PM

My old stomping grounds! Sunnyside, Boulevard Club, Palais Royale, Roncesvalles Footbridge, St. Joe's. Thanks for the memories!

This was taken from my balcony. Close Ave is just east of Jameson and the apartment is at the south end of the street that abuts the rail corridor, Lake Shore and the Gardiner. I live on the 24th floor and look west.

I think you'll find Sam might have a few more images to come from this vantage point!

This is a little crazy (in a good way). It looks like everything is miniature. Like a little railroad set. Very very cool.

Posted by madscientist at August 13, 2010 09:42 PM

Another beautifull picture!

Posted by Naimi at August 18, 2010 03:02 AM
