What makes it especially intriguing is the empty scooter in the background.
Posted by Luke McGuff at January 9, 2010 03:17 AMThe invisible one legged man. :)
Posted by Catarina at January 9, 2010 05:34 AMGee I was thinking the guy was missing from the scooter and probably in the bank but the lost shoe I think confirms alien abduction instead.
Posted by bandobras at January 9, 2010 07:44 AMIs this the same missing man as the one missing from the electric wheelchair?
Posted by greer at January 9, 2010 08:41 AMThat's a really interesting photo. A mystery...the shoe, the coffee cup, the two bags of what seem like rubbish, and the vacant scooter...
Posted by Ed at January 9, 2010 10:05 AMMaybe the shoe is connected to the driverless vehicle parked outside the bank? I LOVE your eye for unusual situations that most of us wouldn't even notice.
Posted by carolyn at January 9, 2010 11:30 AMOOOOOh my god Yes!!!!! Where is the other shoe? Where is the one shoe wonder??? why? What? the heck happened here????
Posted by susaN at January 9, 2010 03:33 PMThis scene looks like the end of the world! shoe, bags, garbage, and the empty Disabled scooter, Yuyks!
Posted by Behnaz at January 9, 2010 03:59 PMI noticed the full bags first, haha.
Posted by Jarael at January 9, 2010 05:35 PMthis is a fabulous photo
i have no clue why ...
besides luminosity & clarity!
does the wet bring it all home/ together?
i♥it‼
I see you're enjoying the GF1/20mm combo. Such a great lens. I love mine!
Posted by randy at January 9, 2010 10:07 PMthere's s.th new in it!!
why i think ,know the missin' man !!!????
I think the one legged driver of the scooter had a flat battery and had no choice but to crawl home, losing his one shoe on the way. I hope he made safely. !
Posted by Trance.Elbow at January 10, 2010 03:19 PMLove how desolate this looks. Streets are supposed to be busy, not here.
Posted by Shawn Bierman at January 10, 2010 09:13 PMAt first I thought that someone has been hit by the rail system.
Posted by hoi at January 11, 2010 12:09 PMI always wonder about single shoes. They are a wonderful stimulus for creating stories.
Posted by Barbara M at January 15, 2010 10:47 AMVery eerie...the ONE shoe, the rubbish, the empty scooter and the cold, wet street make for a fascinating image that one can ponder for quite some time.
