This is absolutely amazing! At first I thought someone had taken a picture from the sky pointing downwards. Good job!

Posted by roope sirola at September 3, 2009 07:22 AMOh no! The Star Destroyer is engaging its tractor beam!
Posted by ToastyKen at September 3, 2009 07:45 AMNice picture. That remember me the first scene of Star Wars ep 4 : http://praxeology.net/star-destroyer-1977.PNG

Posted by chin at September 3, 2009 08:12 AMNice image and composition; I like that the perspective is a little disorienting with the tower in the top of the frame. Well done!
Posted by Ben at September 3, 2009 08:33 AMGreat angle. It reminds me of the opening shot of Star Wars as the Star Destroyer passes overhead.
Posted by Brian St. Denis at September 3, 2009 09:17 AMGreat! Reminds me of that scene from Independence day with the UFO hovering over New York.
Posted by Dave at September 3, 2009 09:32 AMGreat perspective of an object I see every day! Nice job.

Posted by BoB at September 3, 2009 09:45 AMsimply, wow!
Posted by stephen at September 3, 2009 09:55 AMIt looks like the underside of a star destroyer!
Posted by Ron at September 3, 2009 10:16 AMWhich raises the question: did you lean back facing away from the tower when you took this; or did you simply take it facing the tower and turn it around?
Not that the picture would be different. But it's hard to lean backward to look at something like this - you could fall over. ;)
It's amazing you get that much depth w/ f8 on a 24-105 lens!
Posted by Dean at September 3, 2009 11:09 AMWow... it looks really sci-fi, like a tower hovering above Earth, or a ladder connecting a ship to a station of some sort. Love it!
Posted by Kate at September 3, 2009 04:46 PMVery Cool Perspective. :)
Posted by Kimberly Way at September 3, 2009 05:41 PMAck!

Posted by Anand at September 4, 2009 12:52 PMThis is an awesome shot! The shape/outline looks exactly like the back of an envalope. You should print some up!
