It's a pretty pic. Did you like the lens?
Posted by Amir at August 6, 2009 12:58 AMthe trees look like broccoli!
Posted by wesley yendrys at August 6, 2009 01:44 AMgreat picture! just like SimCity :)
Posted by moon at August 6, 2009 08:26 AMWow, I'd love to see this shot in the fall. My favourite part is the small blue cube-like building at the top.
Posted by Matthew H at August 6, 2009 09:19 AMNice clean shot. While I've used a polarizer many times in my early years I'd not thought of trying it to reduce reflections shooting through glass. I'm not sure it would work and lacking one now I'm not likely to spend the $ just to try it. Have you tried that? There's surely no visible trace of reflection here, so it does seem irrelevant.
Posted by Hugh Petrie at August 6, 2009 09:52 AMNice Advise with the cloth, but I would prefer a sunshade made out of thick rubber, with wich you can kill all reflections by pushing it against the window! BTW.: Nice shot of the Marriott!
Posted by Falk at August 6, 2009 12:50 PMYou can also pick up some screw-on hoods from Henry's which are flexible. Attach it to your lens, press that against the glass, and voila, no more reflection!
Great photos by the way.
Posted by Philip at August 6, 2009 01:31 PMNice. Thanks for the tip.
Posted by Akshat Gait at August 6, 2009 01:34 PMAnother great image Sam, and a great tip too. Thanks!!
Posted by Blayne at August 6, 2009 02:30 PMHi Sam I like seeing the photographer in the shot. I've seen some terrific photos of this kind including my own. Sometimes it is the only way to see photos of yourself. Also it is interesing to see how you arrange your body as ypu shoot.
Posted by Barbara M at August 6, 2009 03:32 PMVery nice shot! I love the little patch of trees amongst all the buildings.
While I don't foresee myself in a helicopter anytime soon, thanks for the tip.
Posted by Ben Henschel at August 6, 2009 04:44 PMGreat tip. Appreciate it for sure. This is a cool view to see as it's been forever since I've gone up the CN Tower. Need to make it out sometime.
Posted by Scott Webb at August 6, 2009 09:04 PMThat square of trees looks a bit out of place amidst all the concrete, glass and steel.
Posted by Michelle at August 6, 2009 10:44 PMOr you can use a circular polarizer. OR, put your lens hood right against the glass. Little trick I learned at the zoo. :P
Great shot though. :)
Posted by James at August 6, 2009 11:11 PMI particularly like the shaddow of the CN Tower in the lower left.
