You are the king of parallelism (if that's a word) such as this one and the one of the highway and river at night. I love how you always have such a balanced and it teaches me to look at things much differently. thanks for doing this every day!
Posted by catie at August 3, 2009 08:50 AMGreat graphic qualities to this, and the double red is a bonus
Posted by mark / one way photo at August 3, 2009 09:41 AMThe crossed broken lines with the associated car tire tracks makes this shot to me. The cross is so incongruous. Makes you wonder why? At least, it does so for me. The overall pattern is interesting - for about 10 seconds. ;)
Posted by Hugh Petrie at August 3, 2009 10:07 AMok, perfect for leading lines and the rule of thirds. now who was photoshopped red, the van or the cyclist? fess up :)
Posted by DariaS at August 3, 2009 10:09 AMAwesome photo, as usual! i think thats my parents van, they live at this intersection!!
Posted by Dave at August 3, 2009 11:37 AMThe dotted lines give the optical illusion that the car is swerving in an attempt to hit the cyclist. It could not have worked out better if you staged the shot. (Did you?)
Posted by Kevin at August 3, 2009 02:13 PMRed van, red cyclist, on Scarlett Rd. Perfect. A little too perfect... ;)
Posted by Scott at August 4, 2009 09:21 AMWith the curved lines that flow into the direction of the red van, if you think about it - you can almost visualize the red van swerving into a turn through the intersection, and power sliding.
