Bonjour l'odeur... Une si belle ville !

This is awful and during the summer too, with all the sun and warmth to make the germs flourish.

Such a mature shot. Very expressive and satirical.

How do you shoot in those garbage fields? They should stink beyond imagination, shouldn't they?!! Do you have protective mask with oxygen?! :)

wow - 4 weeks! i can't even imagine.

Posted by Robert at July 20, 2009 09:37 AM

How did you stand the stink???

Posted by Aziz at July 20, 2009 11:04 AM

as I understand it today the strike enters its fifth week

Very topical for me as Edinburgh currently has a bin(garbage) man strike also! This is week 4 or so also but Edinburgh doesn't nearly have the same build up. It's funny how the picture reminds me of the smell of bins out rather than the sight of bins out... pongy!

jeez. give them what they want!! who has let this run on?

Sad to see this, the title could also be Bike Wheel and green garbage bags :)

Oh no! This is awful, what a bad situation. I was in Toronto during the weekend and downtown Toronto is ugly now! I want my city back, this is really an ugly scene in the city.

Week four, I wish. In Windsor we are in week 15 with no end in site and mayor who is, well, not helping.

Very photojournalistic in style. Well done! I hadn't realized there was a dump at Moss Park until riding the streetcar by it this past week.

It's almost pictured as if to say the financial buildings (corporate presence) in Toronto are being erected out of garbage

..haha

What a shot!
nice work

incredibly evocative and upsetting shot. particularly powerful with the bike wheel, because it's when biking by these sites -- and realizing that there's a hockey rink or a park or something else that otherwise would be beautiful underneath -- when I really feel the toll this is taking on our city
