That's beautiful thanks Sam. May MJ finally rest in peace. I can highly recommend this thread started by studio professionals who got to know him, some really great stories... http://www.gearslutz.com/board/so-much-gear-so-little-time/401331-robmix-tell-us-about-mj.html
Posted by Pete at July 3, 2009 04:38 AMabsolutely phenomenal concept !
Posted by Yasush at July 3, 2009 05:33 AM:) Awesome. Very well thought out.
The moonwalking makes what would be a normally very sombre picture into something that makes you smile.
You have such a talent.
haha very nice, the most nonchalant moonwalk ever.
Posted by jesse at July 3, 2009 06:16 AMIs this the closest or the perfect shot.. great work
Posted by Shikher at July 3, 2009 07:12 AMHaha. Great Shot.
Posted by Jared at July 3, 2009 07:25 AMIt was such a simple tribute - but really wonderful to see. And not too bad with the moonwalker either.
Posted by anne at July 3, 2009 08:55 AMNice one Sam, as usual, nice effort on gettin the "moonwalk" feel.
Posted by Carlos Bohorquez Nassar at July 3, 2009 10:30 AMnice thought...
black n white adds another dimension to the MJ memorial...
cud have been better on toning..
Hey ...
Very nice shot, as always ... But I've got a question ... Did you blur the background in post or it's the lens effect?
Posted by Ali Afghah at July 3, 2009 12:29 PMLooks good to me. Someone has worked hard to make a memorial this fast.
Posted by Frida at July 3, 2009 01:37 PMHa-ha! Nice capture!
Posted by hoi at July 3, 2009 06:30 PMGreat idea with this photo.
Posted by Allison at July 3, 2009 08:25 PMit don't matter if it's black or white...RIP MJ
Posted by eilyn at July 4, 2009 12:43 AMAnd this is why we love you. Great effort and good result!
Posted by vg at July 4, 2009 06:38 AMThe guy really look like he did the moonwalk. Good job :)
Posted by md.Hafiz at July 5, 2009 05:02 AMThe word lost a great talent albeit it a man with a very strange and perhaps even troubling history. I'm not sure what to think of him. I think his music had an amazing impact but I feel very conflicted because of the allegations that followed him through the years. I am however growing tired of the media coverage. It seems there are many much more important matters going on in the world today and the 24/7 attention to his story seems over the top to me.
This is of course a really great shot.
Posted by Laurie at July 6, 2009 09:49 AMFantastic! Great capture!
Posted by Lara Parent at July 6, 2009 11:37 PMGreat shot. Well thought out idea. Like the fact he's wearing white socks with black shoes a la MJ.
Posted by HE at July 9, 2009 06:13 AMDid you add a blur to the background in photoshop?
Posted by Andrew at July 10, 2009 04:18 AMVery well done.
Posted by ryan-1 at July 18, 2009 12:16 AMAmazing idea! =))) Good job.
