Beautiful - but what happened to Toronto?

Great landscape. Nice capture.

This landscape is simply wonderful.

Hello,

I must say, I absolutely adore your photography. Awesome captures always! And we're from the same country =)

It seems an unusual landscape. Peaceful in a land of conflict. It is sad that religion, which should bring a sense of comfort to people, is the root of so much trouble. All because there is no proof of God/Allah - only unprovable belief with many conflicted positions.

I love the expanse here and the way the poles lead off into the distance. And once again, a beautiful sky.

I thought maybe since this is a CANADIAN photoblog, you'd post something CANADIAN... as it IS CANADA DAY!

Very disappointed.

Unbelievable what you were able to achieve with that 18-55 lens!

Love your shots from Iran... and well done keeping your site green. I'm trying to do the same, though not nearly as successful.

jenny,

It's still there, it didn't go anywhere. Learn to look at something a little different from time to time.

I'm also disappointed, the picture is good, but you haven't posted anything of Canada on Canada Day, and you didn't get any photos of Pride... I thought you would have been on to that. Maybe you're just out of town.

Dear Sam,

Beautiful capture as always and still its amazing to see your archives is filled with priceless images. Yes today is Canada day, but the recent incidents around the world and Iran has overcaptured any regional events. Doesn't matter, Canada, US, Iran or elsewhere around the world, let's be Global and Green everyday.

Hugh Petrie,
While I do agree with you at a general level, I would hate to characterize religion as the cause of this present crisis in Iran.

It is a disputed election, not a religious conflict. Roots are, in this case, political not spiritual.

Anyway; beautiful photograph, thank you for posting them!

More Iranian (and green) shots please... loving them.

Really fantastic capture. Love the depth.

To Sam's critics: re Canada Day shot. He did capture Canada in that he has the freedom to post anything he wishes on his blog. MANY people IN THE WORLD do not have this freedom. We are VERY fortunate that Sam does this every day. He has a full-time job, a new baby and a concern for relatives in Iran. Sam's blog is generous and we should be grateful for it.

Great depth, love how the poles follow into distance towards the hills. Keep it up.

Stunning scene... I like the alternating green and brown patches, and that superb sky

"A thing of beauty is a joy forever;
Its loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness,"
as John Keats said.
It's true of your photography!

My husband and I love your photographs, Sam. I remember one of a close-up of a cat from years ago. It is such a beautiful picture, capturing the essence of "cat." And you do landscape, people, color, b & w, abstracts, etc, ALSO. This landscape in Iran is phenomenal.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful talents with us!
