Comments: whales and the biker

Who is the artist? Chicago used to have a similar mural on the side of a building until it was covered up (by another building). I am so excited to see this picture today! The two are quite similar: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/25/57547530_44054dec65.jpg?v=0

Wow, has that ever yellowed! It was the deepest blue when it was new. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

This reminds me of the Whale Commuter Mural that used to be on the Courthouse Annex in Milwaukee, WI. It was torn down when they revamped the Downtown Highway system. Below is a link during demolition.

All these elements give this scene a great sense of scale. Without the lone cyclist a lot would be lost in getting a sense of the size. Well done.

That building is painted right? It looks awesome!

At first, I enjoyed it.
It's a refreshing scene in the gray city.
But then you realize that in few decades, maybe it's the only for us to see these animals.
Great photo nevertheless.

I really like your pictures because I miss Toronto...and you're clearly very technically skilled. Except, they're always face on pictures of the side of buildings. The best picture I've seen on your site was a while ago - a man cycling in the rain. I could FEEL the rain on my face. This, I'm sorry to say, is just "meh" (as the kids say these days).

Wow, there are (were) over 100 whale walls in the world - mostly US - thanks for the link Kurt!
