Comments: green buses, yellow lines

nice shot! It looks like you've had the same inspiration I got a few years ago in Rome: http://www.paolofusco.com/index.php?showimage=140

They almost look as if they are posing for you ;-)

I love the 'NO PARKING' sign, and the large foreground which is a bit of a trademark for you

I park in that lot every day. I see those buses every day. And they are never, ever "posed" for me the way they were for you. You must have a horseshoe on your hot shoe! Nicely done.

Striking image. Something I would have probably passed without a thought. Such a great eye you have!

Dramatic! The shy, cracked pavement, the buses look as though they're trying to get ahead of each other and the yellow lines look like they're running away from the buses. Nice WVS.

'eats' of Yonge???

Eats of Yonge is what would happen if Joanna Newsom teamed up with the Discovery Channel to produce an album.

the clouds remind me of Georgia O'Keefe's Clouds painting.

Hah! Love it -- little toy buses defying the No Parking sign.

An otherwise mundane scene made very interesting -- cool image. I love the scudding clouds and lead in lines.

I absolutely love this. Maybe my favourite of yours ever!

Hi Sam The texture in this shot is wonderful. I can feel the fluffy clouds and the rough texture of the parking lot. The use of lines focuses the viewr's attention on individual elements in the shot.

This just wouldn't be the same picture if the clouds were different. I love it!

beautiful. thank you.

what a great shot! no matter how you look at the image, it's as if it's moving. the motion is conveyed by the clouds and the lines drawing me into the picture. you have a perfect vantage point for the capture. well done, indeed!

what lens did you use to shoot this?

Posted by Yang at May 20, 2009 09:58 AM

12-24mm Sigma at 12mm = VERY wide angle.
Shot would look dramatically different without such a wide angle lense.

Awesome.
