Comments: protesters

I am AMAZED at how sharp this shot is, for a digital camera! This is an amazing shot to have captured, and if not on your 5D the lumix is one handy camera for sure.

Is it bad that the first thing I thought of after reading the news article on this is "I hope Sam got some photos!"?

Where did you take those photos from? Impressive.

Tamil as in "Tamil people (also called Tamils) (Tamil: தமிழர், tamiḻar [?]), are an ethnic group native to Tamil Nadu, a state in India, and the north-eastern region of Sri Lanka." Never heard about them before! I just google it and find out more about.

wow the photos.
But yea...I'm not quite understanding the reason for this protest. I understand that it doesn't make sense for people to ignore the situation, however if they were to protest to simply get the Canadian government's help...wouldn't the Canadian government have to help every single country that has issues?

Its not that the issue isn't important but I don't understand why they have to choose the Canadian government...
okay that didn't sound too well but I'm just trying to understand the situation

Is the second photo stitched? I had no idea a point and shoot could take such a wide angle shot.

T update: currently a large group of people, including chidlren, are caught in between 2 sides in a long very violent civil war. What is tragic is that this humanitarian crisis is not covered in the media because journalists are not allowed into the country. If you are interested, see the NY times and go Sri Lanka on their web site.
