great shot. sam, i was wondering if it was possible to have this in a wallpaper size? i know it's vertically shot, but if its anyway possible that would be awesome.
Posted by kaylin at May 5, 2009 03:33 AMGreat composition. I really like the arrow coming towards the viewer. Nice neat image

Posted by Shadan at May 5, 2009 10:20 AMHoly crap, that's the Richmond Diner, or at least used to be. Back in the day, I worked at Alias one block over. We'd go for lunch and have a #4: hot hamburger, fries, gravy, soup, coffee. It even came with Jello for dessert. And cost only 6 bucks. God, that place was filthy. Glad to see it's alive again, but I hope they renovated the bathrooms.
I didn't notice the arrow until I scrolled down the page. It seems to be...inviting me...to eat there again...
Posted by Adrian at May 5, 2009 02:50 PMi love the arrow that point to u nice shot!
Posted by BOm at May 5, 2009 04:23 PMThe depth of the image is very nice. the red diner acts as a baseline for the grafiti... very cool.
Posted by grant at May 5, 2009 05:35 PMIt looks like there is a guy who is painting windows on that read structure :)
Great image, I love the graphical side of it with the strong colors and the arrows.
Nicely done!
I was a fan of the blue... the red is ok, but the blue was more identifiable.
Posted by Dave at May 5, 2009 11:00 PMThis is so beautiful. It reminds me of my early days of looking at your blog. The inspiration it brought me to want to be a photographer as well, and now I am getting my Bachelors of Fine Arts for photography. But this picture alone takes something so simple and wonderful and transforms it into something my bare eye would never be able to see on its own. Thank you.

Posted by Edward at May 6, 2009 02:59 AMThis is a great place - you should stop in for a bite if you can.
Posted by anne at May 6, 2009 08:01 AMIt was bright pink for a very short period after the blue too.
Very nice shot :). Love the arrow.
Posted by Bridgeen in Toronto at May 7, 2009 11:22 PMthe diner was was pink for a few days too, you can still see it on the roof

Posted by moeed at May 17, 2009 01:56 PMWhat a great capture. 99% of the people would walk by this and not see what is there. You have a real talent for lining up these geometric shapes into compelling image. Way to go.
