Comments: snow drummer

Wow, he's a brave guy. I hope he made some money ;-) This looks great in B&W and the contrast on it is superb...

That takes an amazing amount of dedication, Sam.

And the drummer's pretty dedicated, too!

This is a great photo Sam, BW works really well with this. The composition and focus are also great. With weather like this I usually don't even think about taking the camera out on the street. Can therefore appreciate these pics more :-)

Life can be hard and "cold" for some people. Good shot.

Wow. That's dedication.

This is one determined drummer.

awesome feel to the street scene. I swear this is the longest and most consistent snow that I can remember!

Perfect. I like the mood of the picture. Perfect.

I just love this one! The lighting, the composition, the focus, everything! Well done.

Sure seems a hard way to make it. Busking in the sun can be hard enough. Good shot!

wow, I love this picture Sam, perfect for b&w, well done!

no matter what weather!
sometimes it's hard to rock :/

Posted by martin_d at February 24, 2009 09:08 AM

Woah, that's incredible! (To this Aussie, anyway! Though I spent 12 months in TO a couple years back and never saw anyone busking through this sorta weather!!)

Anyway... I can't remember how I found your site exactly, but I've been checking back here when I remember to, and loving your work. Just wanted to say thanks for adding some visual beauty to my day!

I admire him. Really original your point of view

Awesome, awesome shot. I love your choice of black and white also.

That guy has some dedication. Rock on.

This is probably one of the most powerful street shots I've seen in a long time.

Looks like a cold night to be playing for change!

Beautiful and inspiring image. Nice management of blacks in the post processing.

Haha! I totally danced to this guy's beat.

Great B&W treatment. I like how you've used a slower shutter speed to capture the motion of the snow. All the elements of this image contribute mate - inspiring photography as usual. Dedicated drummer too! :)

Posted by Skiman at February 24, 2009 07:12 PM

I love the low vantage point and the movement of the snow... really captures the atmosphere!

Beautiful pictures as always - but are you ready for Spring yet? You're a talent dude!
