Comments: obama day

From the States: Sorry about the last eight years--I didn't vote for Bush, but I live in a small state with only a few electoral votes. Now that we've elected a grownup, can I come back to Canada for a visit?

After experiencing the vast amount of photography that captured the essence of January 20th, this picture is by far my favorite. It's simple, subtle and breathtaking - Great Shot Sam!

Obama Day? Are you kidding me? No. It was Tuesday. It was Inauguration Day. He is a man, and there is nothing special about him. We in America are bracing ourselves for the horror of what's to come with his radical policies. Obama Day, my ass.

You're the man SAM...I love it

Obama is the MAN.. Now he just needs to live up to the challenge!

Excellent shot. Well done on capturing some history. Well done, America. Without wishing to sound patronising, I'm proud.

I like this one. Good job.
as far as the comment made by Leslie..Maybe she should move out of the country? We in america are bracing ourselfs? Who are we? He won so apparently americans gave him alot of votes. So I'm guessing most people liked his policies.
I believe Obama day was a good title for this. It was his inauguration.
Not trying to start an arugemnt. Just saying. :)

Millions of people obviously disagree with Leslie. Since when did pragmatism become "radical"? Hm.

Anyway, I like the image. This is a proud man, and like all of us he's bearing witness to what was until recently thought impossible.

Great shot really wonderful.

I hope that the expecatations which have been raised to unrealistic heights for any mortal man to fulfill, will become more reasonable in the coming months. But Americans are impatient and will be whining if they don't see immediate and drastic results.

Either that or they will get like they are in my State, New Jersey, and become complacent, won't pay attention to what is going on in the legislature, and just continue to re-elect the same crooks over and over and over again while at the same time screaming and whining about the corruption and waste.

Oh well...Here's to hope and change!

Nice picture. I must admit, this is one of my favorite Obama shots that I've seen since the beginning of the election...

Superb selective focus on this. One of the best shots I've seen that documents the people's view of inauguration day.
