Hey, how did you puled out such deep blue sky?
Posted by Hronius at December 16, 2008 04:09 AMSuperb shot really. Great atmosphere and i love those clouds. How much and what processing did you do on that one?
Posted by alex at December 16, 2008 04:15 AMI know how that is. We have had grey weather for about 3 weeks now. It was sunny for an hour yesterday but I had no opportunity to go outside then. Lovely blue sky looks like a beautiful ad for a housing project ;-)
Well captured!
I really love this one. As usual : great job ;)
Posted by Bastien at December 16, 2008 07:57 AMI love the sky in this picture. Today is nice in Toronto. I'm going out to make some shots.
Posted by Hongyu at December 16, 2008 08:41 AMand there all made out of ticky tacky and they all look just the same. love how there isn't a single small engine vehicle in sight. not your best, but thought provoking none the less.
Posted by jaj at December 16, 2008 10:19 AMWow I was just thinking how much this replicates a California suburb, down to very minute details (I grew up in a CA suburb...unfortunately) and then I realized that this really IS a CA picture.
Where was it taken, out of curiosity? Looks very Redwood Shores/ Hercules/ Mission Viejo.
Posted by Gloria at December 16, 2008 01:19 PMi love the sky! how do you make it look so rich and dramatic?!?! keep up the great work!
Posted by ryan at December 16, 2008 01:29 PMSam,
The color contrast in this shot is wonderful.Did you have to do much post processing?
Thanks,
Eric

Posted by Xavier Rey at December 16, 2008 07:55 PMGreat idea! Maybe that will cheer us up. I hate this continuous grey.

I like my ticky-tacky made house.
=(
I'm such a Californian. But, like what was stated earlier, this photo does capture the California suburb in every detail. And the sky looks amazingly dramatic! It's so vivid.
Nice work. Even if the houses all look the same and there aren't any small cars.
Wonderful capture and beautiful sky! :)
