The Sony with that huge Zeiss lens is absolutely amazing for delicate, precise effects at a distance as well as those beautiful closeups.

This is haunting. And the Oriental effect is so strong that I keep thinking there's a dhow in the picture. It's an illusion of sorts. I think it's the long horizontal lines and the angle of the dock, which could be a bowsprit, plus the bare-mast sailboat passing by, and the bent surfer who could be a fisherman pulling up his nets at the end of the dock.
