Absolutely stunning, I love it. It would certainly make a great wallpaper.

Great work, the reflection in the water is spectacular!

Beautiful and poetic. You were right, I was wondering wether it was an HDR or not, but finally I like to hear that it is a classic exposure photograph. I follow your work every time and I really like what you do. Keep making us dream and thank you!

Nice feeling, somehow you get "close to the clouds" in this photo.

Posted by JuHa at August 12, 2008 04:51 AM

If I didn't know any better, I'd say this was a collage of various photo's. The clouds, trees, sailboats & trees are all in amazing alignment!

Fantastic photo, Sam!

Very nice!
Any chance of a how-to of the post processing?

Posted by Peter Mac at August 12, 2008 08:39 AM

Wauw... You are an excellent photographer, I’m really impressed by your photos, I surely can learn a lot from you.

You are simply amazing Sam! Your processing secrets are amazing!

Now THAT is an incredible photo. The colours and the composition are just amazing. At first I thought the herd of sailboats was some sort of contemporary art interpretation of a bush of brambles, because they looked so blue against the sky. The curve of the bush on the left-hand-side flows so smoothly into the rest of the photo. I also love the precision of the reflection in the water, it feels as though I'm looking to the depths of the lake and still seeing the sky.
Love your photos, man.

Wow. Another fascinating shot.

Wallpaper please?

Posted by Patrick at August 12, 2008 10:05 AM

This is lovely, the sharpness and the colouring.
Is there any possibility of a version for wallpaper?

Posted by Mady at August 12, 2008 10:12 AM

Holy cow, that's just gorgeous, I kind of wish it was bigger so you could get a better look at the detail.
Nicely done though!

Any chance of a high-resolution version?

Posted by Gord at August 12, 2008 01:46 PM

If you processed it in Lightroom 2 (vs. regular Lightroom or ACR or anything else for that matter), did you use the new exposure and other settings brushes? If you did, that's essentially a "classic mixed exposures" shot, but if you didn't, that's a hell of a dynamic range you were able to capture.

Wow, stunning, you really should release some sort of water marked edition in a big format so that people can use it as wallpaper. I really would love to have your images on my desktop, just stunning.

wow - I don't think I have ever seen a reflection shot so crisp

Posted by mark at August 12, 2008 07:49 PM

lightroom is to RAW what latitude is to film. its amazing what the digital realm is capable of with this technology. now, how is it you have so much time to take these awesome shots? Win the Lottery or something?
