Posted by یک مرد ، به توان 2 at July 22, 2008 08:22 AMWow when is this? how come there are no cars?
Posted by Mezba at July 22, 2008 08:42 AMHow on earth did you manage to find the road deserted during daylight hours?
Posted by Brian Lang at July 22, 2008 11:15 AMTwo questions: is that the same man from yesterday's photo? and, was the DVP closed to cars?
I like the photo in general, but I'm scared for his lens :P
Posted by Andrew at July 22, 2008 12:14 PMThat would have made a great scene from an episode of the twilight zone.
"Hey, where is everybody?!"
Posted by scott at July 22, 2008 12:33 PMI love street shots like these but man are they are to get.
Posted by Robin at July 22, 2008 01:27 PMGreat photo, as always. I forgot what it's called, the mirror like effect down the middle, but it's perfect. Along with the... ok, I forgot the word for that too, but the effect that makes it look like if everything in the photo is getting smaller. Whatever it is, the photo looks great.
To your friend there... you're doing it wrong. XD
Posted by ThatGuy at July 22, 2008 02:45 PMdoes he roller blade around there just to take pictures?? thats fantastic. a wonderful image.
Posted by hannah c at July 22, 2008 10:46 PMFun... and love the lines perspective
Posted by Dan Brosseau at July 23, 2008 12:26 AMGreat Shot. The contrast of those yellow lines against that heavy grey sky is superb.
Payam has a fairly decent camera himself!
to answer the question a lot of people have asked, and to deter any suicidal attmepts to run out onto the DVP and try to recreate this photo, while the flow of traffic is moving.
Yes, at least once every year the DVP is closed for a charity bicycle marathon. It is very likely that Sam and his friend are not suicidal madmen, but that they went onto the highway, while it was closed for the marathon. So if you are thinking about trying to get a similar shot, please wait for the road to be closed again.
Posted by scott at July 23, 2008 10:41 PMI really like this picture! Nice composition and excellent toning as well.
Posted by Serge at July 24, 2008 07:46 AMHow did you get a uniform colour in each pic ?
Great shoot and idea.
