Comments: rain runner

Nice! The lights of the car shining through the raindrops are brilliant! I hope his iPod is still working after this shower :-)

Congratulations on such a descriptive photo here. The great composition allows for so much to go on in the picture. I keep finding more to appreciate.

Wow. That's an amazing image. Well spotted!

Posted by Latchiko at July 9, 2008 04:30 AM

what's he listening to?

a good capture of still movement.

Posted by amir at July 9, 2008 06:20 AM

This is just perfect! I love the water getting sprayed away from his left sneaker and the b&w works well for this image. Bravo!

It's really cool how you've captured the rain here! Where were you hiding?

Posted by Vahid at July 9, 2008 07:18 AM

Did u ever see a photo that makes you breathless? this one of them!

Posted by iuri at July 9, 2008 08:24 AM

neato!
This is a great capture. I'd be too wimpy to get my camera wet.

Posted by JasOn at July 9, 2008 08:50 AM

Great motion shot. The headlights light up the rain just enough around the runner to show that nice trail of water behind him.

Posted by Jay at July 9, 2008 08:58 AM

YES!! Fantastic shot today Sam, just amazing. Good choice on the black and white too. Great one for the Best-Of Archives.

Awesome shot. Cool moment captured.

Posted by Jesse Moscoe at July 9, 2008 09:17 AM

I took my camera out for 5 seconds on my balcony and it got drenched, haha how did you take this!?

Posted by Yaz at July 9, 2008 09:20 AM

This is a great image and works really well in B&W. It certainly shows determination. My favorite thing... the water from his left foot. Fantastic.

Posted by Mike at July 9, 2008 10:43 AM

Awesome awesome awesome shot!*!*!* Perfect timing, and excellent in black and white. Nice work. :)

Posted by Kimberly Way at July 9, 2008 11:20 AM

I love how you cant really see the rain in the background unless you focus on it. There are so many different things to look at that i did like three double takes :)
its amazing, i don't know how you do it sam :

Posted by Mckenzie at July 9, 2008 11:59 AM

Beautiful moment, Sam! Love this shot.

Love the water coming off his left shoe. Beautiful shot.

Posted by hugh at July 9, 2008 01:37 PM

That pretty good, it make is better that it is in black and white so you can see all the detail of the rain. My favorite part is the water coming off of the guys shoe, that is just a nice space. Awesome job.

I just knew it the second i saw the rain that you would of been outside taking a photo lol. I wanted to go take some also but i really wouldn't think of risking my camera like that lol

I guess im not "hardcore" enough.... lol

Posted by Dani at July 9, 2008 02:22 PM

Wow! This is a wonderful shot. B&W works just right here. Dodge might buy this from you :p

Wow, yet another stunner of shot.

It was quite a rainstorm though. I was driving through it.

Posted by Graham at July 9, 2008 07:34 PM

Great capture, hope you were inside and stayin' dry. So much of photography is about shooting when other photographers aren't, so you can get that unique shot.

Posted by Soli Deo Gloria at July 9, 2008 07:36 PM

Nice effects and the trail of water on his foot, but it doesn't have the usual nice composition like most other stills shots u post here.

Posted by Boreo at July 9, 2008 09:02 PM

Excellent capture, I always find rain hard to capture, but the car lights really make this one. As does the blur on his feet portraying the movement.

Posted by Ben Brooks at July 9, 2008 10:06 PM

Perfect shot. I am no photographer but this is an amazing shot.

Posted by Sally at July 9, 2008 10:08 PM
