What a shot! I keep staring at it, wondering how you managed it. Great work, as always...

Yeah! Another!

Forgive me for loving these photos; Sam, please be careful!

Posted by apothe at June 4, 2008 07:03 AM

Wow, this picture is full of motion!

Posted by Deniss at June 4, 2008 07:23 AM

awesome !
I really have the sensation to ride with the bike.
Nice effect of movement.

The mad cyclist/photographer is at it again with no hands! You left your bike computer at home, but I'd say you're going about 60km/h ?! he he.
eeek-- watch the fence!
I like this motion shot. Good job!

Look, Ma! No hands!
Cool :)

Amazing shot! I enjoy all your work, but this one really blows me away! It's rare that simply looking at a photo can make me feel dizzy, but this one does! Way to invoke that feeling! Great work!

Posted by jessica at June 4, 2008 09:39 AM

That's just cool! Nice shot!

I can ride my bike with no handlebars, no handlebars, no handlebars.....

I can change the world with a PHOTOGRAPH!

Posted by chrissy at June 4, 2008 10:22 AM

Wow. These shots (w/ heavy motion blur) always make me feel like I'm being drawn in. I love the "no hands", it makes us think about how dangerous it was to get the photo!

Look for the lady with the green coat. She is about to cross the road. Maybe it's too late ;)
Cool image!

Nice!

I tried to do this the other day (early in the morning when no one was around in town) but I kept finding that I couldn't hold the camera still enough to get a shot where the background wasn't all blurred. What speed are you going when you take the shot, and what exposure settings do you use?
Thanks,
Hugh

Wow, it's going too fast for me !

Posted by Pop9 at June 4, 2008 01:23 PM

Beautiful.

Actually, anyone who knows Sam, knows that he is holding the bike, But, he can make himself invisible.
At least that's what he told me when I thought he didn't show up at my birthday party. Sam told me he was there, but he made himself invisible as a gift to me. Awesome trick! He totally got me!!

Watch out ladies bathrooms!

This is an excellent photo. It should be submitted to publications and will surely win awards. It should be submitted to TIME magazine with the caption "U.S. Govt - Who is at the helm?"

Wow Sam, you amaze me once again!

I can't wait to get back home (traveling for two weeks around Scotland at the moment) so I can get out my bike and my 10mm lens and try something similar. I love it, well done and thank you for the inspiration :)

Wonderful, so they finally produced a bicycle with an autopilot feature.

Its a bit like the world through the eyes of a bicycle.
