Posted by Dean at May 12, 2008 05:31 AMThis looks great.
My thing with tilt-shift shots is that it's one of the only effects which can be done AS successfully in Photoshop from a normal image. I can't see the need to purchase additional equipment, certainly a good idea to rent. IMO.
Awesome! One of your best ones in a while :)
Posted by Khristopher at May 12, 2008 09:53 AMLove this one.
Posted by shanolyno at May 12, 2008 12:13 PMI really enjoy your images... I love the way you portray the city. It's been a while since I have been down there and seeing it through your eyes reminds me why I loved it!
Posted by Michelle (artscapes) at May 12, 2008 01:10 PMThis looks like a toy replica... very cute :D and kind of intense at the same time!
Posted by Arina at May 12, 2008 02:36 PMThis image is messing with my mind! I keep thinking I'm seeing a close-up of a miniature. Very cool. :)
Posted by Kevin at May 12, 2008 02:39 PMWhere did you take this from?
Posted by Andrew at May 12, 2008 03:07 PMAmazing photo Sam!
Posted by Kyle at May 12, 2008 05:37 PMthought it was a toy train display at first glance, very neat.
Posted by pj at May 12, 2008 06:55 PMI second Andrew's question: where were you when you took this shot? My guess is a Porter plane. :)
Posted by Kelly at May 12, 2008 10:20 PMGreat use of the tilt-shift lens! I love it how you got the Fairmont building in such great focus.
Posted by eric kim at May 12, 2008 11:26 PMI thought I was the only one that thought this was a scale model "toy" city. The lens can do strange and wonderful things. Great experiment SAM.

Posted by JasOn at May 13, 2008 09:15 AMWonderful view and excellent choice to focus on.
Posted by Carlos Lorenzo at May 14, 2008 09:49 AMThis one along with the one from May 22 (lone man).. Amazing, how does the lens do it? I looked up the wiki article on "tilt-shift miniature faking.."
I mean, I know how it does it technically, I just can't seem to wrap my mind around it...
Posted by Sara at May 22, 2008 11:21 PMThis photo is a revelation.
