Great colour tones. Incredible detail in the mask. Amazing shot.

Svm, once again, you impress.

On a second note. Interesting tag with the 30km. Thanks for sharing.

I am sorry, but what is it with the borders? Are you into movies now? Come on. I really like the picture, but the borders totally kill it. You're good enough that you don't need borders to distract from the original image.

Cool image! like something out of a movie

You're probably not going to post this comment, but I figured I'd try anyway.

Chernobyl was a very shitty reactor managed by the failing USSR in Ukraine and of a different technology than Pickering's reactor. You really can't compare them straight across.

In Canada, we use CANDU reactors. They are far safer than any other type. It's pretty much impossible for them to melt down.

Nuclear power is the saftest type of power generation we have right now. Every year, thousands are injured or die mining coal. But in North America, Nuclear Power has not caused a single injury or death in it's 50+ year life span.

These people really need to look around them before they protest/march/whatever.

Whats with the black boxes? Good photo anyway.

Well, lets hope and pray Chernobyl doesn't happen any where else on earth, but especially within Toronto or any where in Canada. Radio active material just doesn't seem to work real good with human beings at all. It's really a shame Russia has had to put up with what they have.

Nice DOF on the shot.

one thing i love about your work, is that it has a cinematic look to it! great shot!

My first thought at seeing this picture was that she was protesting against the filthy air that we breathe every day, but 30km.ca, in case you don't have Flash installed, appears to be a fearmongering site bent on portraying the Pickering nuclear plant as equivalent to Chernobyl, with the thirty kilometres referring to the no-go zone that surrounds it.

(Could be worse -- they could have compared Pickering to Hiroshima.)

Sadly, there'd probably be less cause to wear that suit and mask if all of the cars and industry in North America were run on electricity generated by nuclear plants: air pollution kills people year after year.

Very crisp and powerful photo Sam.

Yikes.

Amazing photo, although the bars along the top and bottom are a tad distracting. I agree with Beamers post. CANDU reactors are much safer - this is just some Greenpeace cult dealio.

Fantastic shot!

Everybody, the borders are needed to preserve a 4:3 aspect ratio.

To quote a previous comment..."Nuclear power is the saftest type of power generation we have right now."

Are you talking specifically in Toronto? Because I'd have to say Hydro is a lot safer...

Regardless, I appreciate the comments about the reactors in Toronto. Good point.
