I luv this !!! I especially luv the time-lapse
video sequence you captured (not to mention your Westernly view..I'm South facing, which requires much squishing-of-left-eye-&-cheek on Front window).

Yep, there's just something about 'seeing time'...the timeless face of earth stoically aging, shadows like the waves of hands on upon a clock when the sun is at eye level that just serves to smarten one up - no?

Posted by Fiona at September 30, 2003 11:33 AM

I loved it sam,
Especially the shot you have made with the 4 different stills. 2 Suns and sky and the lights and cars.... it is imaginary but yet original.

Now, can u tell me how you have done?
If I take a few shots of different times from my window how would I be able to montage them? what softwares did u use?

Thanks,
NG

thanks for the comments,
Nader, I use photoshop for all photo editing purposes. you can easily put different photos on different layers and then start making masks or just erase the parts of each layer.

wonderful sun reflection on building, like a fire,
quality is nice,

It was so intereting. It realy motivated me, to learn more about sunset, its real meaning, and maybe to think of its interactions, with my everyday life. You know, we sometimes forget that there is a moon above over heads, in the sky. we forget looking to sky and count stars... something which is forgotten....By the way, thank you for your nice photo.

something you really make me wonder if you are truly talented or what??? or anything but talented? you kick ass, buddy. (excuse my french)

Very, very cool. You must have taken low res images 640 x 480? Did you have the camera hooked up to your computer in order to store that many pics? The photo is awesome and the movie is absolutely cool.

Posted by Jonathan at October 2, 2003 02:08 AM

Jonathan, thanks for the comment.
I actually took all the photos in high-res (2272x1704) and yes, I attched the camera so it stored all the images on the hard-drive. about 3GB!

incredible sequence. wonderful to watch - i can't figure out where in T.O. this is exactly, but you have a great view

Posted by adam at October 8, 2003 02:50 AM

It's Gerrard Street, just west of Yonge. Not the most memorable spot in downtown TO, mind you, but City Hall would be to your left, off-camera. Behind you to the east would be Ryerson University.

The picture was probably taken at the Delta Chelsea Inn.

Does the Canon G3 have a setting that allows you to do the time lapse photographs?

Hi sam,

this is so awesome. I actually have a question for you, how could u set the interval time as 20 seconds? I have a G3 too, but the min. interval is 1 min. How could u do that? Thanks a lot.

Too beautiful! I took some shots of that same evening from Queen/Beverly. http://www.fabricated.ca/Gallery.shtml (The last 5 images on there)

I use the G5 myself, and I'm interested in putting together a similar montage, now that I've seen yours as inspiration. :)

Again, great work! (Ctrl+D'd)
