Very modern and new Toronto.

Interesting!
I was imaging this perspective.

Scrolling down the rain & water met;
'And got completely wet.'

Great composition Sam. I love the tones and reflections the water creates.

How did you create that pinhole effect? This photograph is just amazing. It shows how even the most ordinary, everyday things can take on remarkable beauty in the hands of a skilled photographer such as yourself. I love the slate-blue color palette here. Well done!

Ooh, very film noir.

Wonderful photo, but I can't help but feel that in 50 years, this will be the next Regent Park. Towers absent streetscape usually spells trouble.

Nice lines and reflections. I like how the spacing between the buildings give each one its own place in this urban environment.

WOW! The photo is cool! Actually the whole site is great! I really enjoy watching all of your works!
The atmosphere is always so cool! I used to live in Budapest and I liked the photos you posted from there. It is so much the right thing to show.
Regarding this photo, I was just wondering what it is like to live there, I mean - the towers? Isn`t it scary? Is this middle-class place to live?

Interesting crop, Sam. I like it.

Wow... I remember when there used to be this thing called a lake, and... what was it again? Oh yeah, a waterfront... memory's hazy though. Maybe I just imagined it.

This scene looks like something out of a futuristic film. Muted lights against steel and blue hues; pointy and round window-filled sky scrapers that allow you to overlook the city from a cold distance but not see into them; rainy puddles and shiny cars but no people and an aromatic emptiness permeating the space.

Very nice! Sam, you make the buildings take on very emotional attributes. :)

mel: it *is* quite neo-noir, isn't it?

Vivek Krishnamurthy: I suppose that these towers could become another Regent Park, but only if they're used as warehouses for the poor and disadvantaged.

Reminds me of Toronto-based photographer Derek Shapton's series "Parkades" http://derekshapton.com/parkades.html

Another shot that seems lifted from a movie. Great work!

Bonjour,
