Lovely capture. Has quite a feeling of 'vastness' to it. Nice contrast also between the textured water with the blocks of ice and the smooth sky.

I've noticed several pictures you've posted recently which are in color, but almost have the appearance of only one set of colors. I really like the effect! Nice gloomy winter look in this one. It seems like you might be ready to thaw out!

This is the "Ongiara" which runs in the winter. It rarely goes to Centre Island, but goes mostly to Ward's Island.

I couldn't imagine how cold that would be!

What I should have said was the Ongiara is the only ferry that runs in the winter and only when the ice isn't so thick that it cannot get through. It does, of course run in the summer too almost exclusively to Hanlan's Point to service the vehicle & bicycle traffic.
