WOW...
Video... WOW... =O

Can I see a view from North side too? (if you have that view)

Posted by No.1 at September 24, 2003 07:04 AM

poopak, you're right if you compare it to europian cities! toronto has a character but a north american one, which is in no way comparable to europe imo.
No.1, I don't have north view but I'll post some west views later on.

real great
and i don'y agree with poopak : there is something in this city view. i'm leaving in paris and it's not always a post card city. your movie is very great and i wonder how you've done it cos i wish i could do the same in paris sometimes. anyway, great job and very nice site.

Great movie.

Character is what's already fixed. It's yesterday. Makes for good tourism, though. Toronto is developing. All the world's here... so we'll see. And enjoy the ride.

You have a great site! Lots of amazing shots.

Character can not be determined only by a picture. You need to live and breathe in a place to know its character. I am from Calgary and currently live in Sweden. Toronto has one of the most diverse characters I have witnessed and I have done a lot of travelling. It may not have the history, but it has its very own personality.

That is really neat. Toronto looks so pretty the way you see it.

I love the photos and I love the movies. I have always loved time lapse movies. They absolutely fascinate me. Please keep up with the wonderful work. (FYI: I found your site from Yahoo's news page.)

To think you could actually put a pan event in there is probably quite fantastic.. makes you think! extremely professionally executed. It is difficault to organise photo shots with good weather? Imagine if the sky were clear and the stars could be seen in their rotation round the sky, might have changed the view points of all the comments..

Best wishes for the next lapse try!

amazing. i'm totally inspired to do the same thing here in vancouver.

very cool!

I happen to love Toronto and go there often.

Sam, have you thought about setting up for time lapse on the rotating deck of the cn tower for a pan shot, or top of Harbour castle South tower (rotates as well i think)? I really don't know if this would actually work.

the technical info here is just what i was looking for (google search; time lapse g3)

thanks.

Incredible! I have a fascination for time lapsed photography, and have done a bit of it myself in the GTA. You should try doing one in the revolving restaurant at the CN Tower or the Westin Harbor Castle hotel!
I once saw a short film which used that restaurant in the hotel and he got a beaautiful revolving shot. All on Super8! :D

That's great man!
I'm doing this at my home right now (my cam is working)
I have a Sony TRV230 and it does not work with remote control :(
So, i have downloaded an automate soft and it let me do a 20 seconds delay time shots.... Good....
