This question is unrelated to the image but as a buyer of a new camera in the next month for a guy looking to spend between 300-400 dollars what would be a camera you or others reading would recommend? The things i would like in the camera are 10x optical zoom, short range macro focus 1-2inch, at least a 15 sec. exposure option, bracketing, and time lapse photo(if possible).

Thanks
Mark

That is such a wonderful photo of UoT and the tower... you are right, you better start taking the pictures before the snow covers everything... which is not such a bad thing, is just a change in the scenery.

Mark. I have the Panasonic Lumix FZ7. I love it. It has everything you mentioned in your comment. There is a new model out (the FZ8) but the differences are minor.

In this range of cameras the Panasonic has the best image stabilization which is very useful for using that 12x zoom!

I don't know what other people would recommend, but for that price range with the features you want...that would be my suggestion.

Thanks Kait, i was just at Henry's tonight and i was looking at that one i believe it is the FZ18(thats what the guy wrote down at least) very nice camera, the only other one close to it was the Canon S5IS difference being it only had an exposure of 15sec. unlike the panasonic which went up to 60sec.

it's been a while since i last visited the big smoke. i've been literally thousands of times for sporting and cultural outings when I was younger. in all my visits, though, I never once visited the U o T. Next time I'm in town, I will make a point of wandering around the grounds.

Nice autumn colours and the CN tower right in the middle is classic. I reckon you had enough time to get out of the car heading your way.
