mmmm squares
Posted by jared at October 24, 2007 02:28 AMwow. this one is phenomenal. brightly lit, but so lonely.
Posted by Serena at October 24, 2007 03:36 AMSweet shot. The reflecton on the ceiling does it for me. Mmmmm Shinny! I'm half expecting the person on the phone to morph into an agent. Great capture. I'd like to see you capture the full length of those platforms though. It makes the station look small just seeing this much.
Posted by scott at October 24, 2007 04:08 AMI love the choice of muted, slightly desaturated colours. It's a great composition and really interesting shot
Posted by One Way at October 24, 2007 04:39 AMWhile he image was still loading, it looked like it was a urinal
Posted by Navin Harish at October 24, 2007 06:16 AMTruly an excellent composition. The viewer's attention is fixed on the guy at the phonebooth. Strong image!
Posted by Serge at October 24, 2007 07:25 AMI like this shot. If you can ever get down there (there's tours and stuff sometimes), lower bay station would make for some amazing DDOI pics.
Posted by G§F at October 24, 2007 09:42 AMWow, what a clean subway! Even the ceiling - based on quality of reflection
Posted by Jo at October 24, 2007 04:29 PMyou should make more of these pictures.. ttc subway station, classic
Posted by Chris at October 24, 2007 06:25 PMWow! Beautiful shot sam!
I am on the brink of purchasing a prime 50mm canon lens, and I'm absolutely stuck between choosing the 1.8, 1.4 or 2.5 macro. Do you have any advice? Would you have been able to do this shot with any of the other lenses?
Thanks!
Posted by oliver at October 24, 2007 08:07 PMI don't know why, but it looks like a scene from a scary movie! something is going to happen to the poor old man....
Posted by Zahra at October 25, 2007 01:21 AMIf you want to try shooting below this station, in the nearly exact same looking place, but dirty and decrepit, I can show you which tunnel to take. You would probably not get permission, but if you can shoot guerrilla...
It's a worthwhile sight! The Malt factory at the bottom Bathurst is also an incredible place to see. There is usually a way in.
I don't know if you have shot at either of these places before, having just started to visit your page, but just a thought.
so when does the guy with the axe jump out?
