Brilliant shot Sam - all the lines are just marvelous. What a great shot to see!

Im really liking this one. Nice colors all around, the shrubs and the sky catch my eye.
This is classic DDOI.

Posted by GSF at October 9, 2007 01:07 AM

The colours are simply gorgeous. Love the use of line and perspective as well.

Posted by Serena at October 9, 2007 01:11 AM

A great shot. Good clarity all over and a beatiful sunset. I like it very much.

Posted by Lance at October 9, 2007 08:47 AM

Wow... such a rural Ontarian view within the big metropolis...

Posted by Manolo at October 9, 2007 08:50 AM

Great picture!

As a side not, however, you are giving me the impression that the city of Toronto consists of Yonge Street and...little else.

Posted by JimH at October 9, 2007 08:53 AM

I adore this photo, and thank you for the daily visual treat that greats me each morning.

Posted by Moomin at October 9, 2007 09:06 AM

This one honestly feels over-processed Sam

Posted by Brian at October 9, 2007 09:23 AM

Very pretty shot, the balance of colours is excellent. Do you ever shoot in landscape for the purpose of dual monitors?

A displaced Torontonian

Posted by rob at October 9, 2007 10:09 AM

One of your best! Great balance and toning.

Regards,
Jason

Posted by Jason Ertel at October 9, 2007 10:38 AM

This is a great shot for many reasons. The light, the colors and most of all the perspective all come together very very well.

Fantastic capture as always! Keep up the great work Sam!

Posted by Vinu Athreya at October 9, 2007 10:59 AM

One of your best yet, Sam! Just a gorgeous shot.

Here I thought you had last your touch to be artistic, and then you post this photo. This is awesome!! I check your blog every day, and probably will for a long time to come, but I was tiring of the documentation of streets, and pictures of bands/film festivals. Thanks for going back to your roots!

Posted by Chad at October 9, 2007 11:37 AM

Simply gorgeous. What kind of lens allows such a huge vertical focus?

Posted by Eric at October 9, 2007 11:46 AM

The colour of the sky and the rails is very beautiful, sir!

Posted by nick at October 9, 2007 11:48 AM

Awsome picture. You couldn't have wished for a better skyline.

Posted by Angie at October 9, 2007 11:56 AM

The clouds and the color of the sky really stand out to me. I like also how the train tracks lead me into the picture.

Posted by danny at October 9, 2007 12:15 PM

Very nice shot! Good job on the exposure blending.

Posted by Kevin at October 9, 2007 12:18 PM

What a great composition and amazing colors. Makes me wonder what's behind the camera, where the trains are going to/coming from.

In love with this shot! The angle, the colours, the textures. Are amazing! This is going in my 'to paint when I have a studio' archive. Hope that's ok?
