WOW SAM! Iam moved by you. You are such a fantastic photographer!

I am 19 years old and suffer depression, part of my healing was to discover the cause of my stress and depression, and i started to relise that it wasn't just the general things that people get down about, like money, work and relationships, but it's this dark world we live in. This world is crumbling, you may think i'm a little crazy, but i am in the navy, and what everyone out there see's on the news and in the papers is very sensored and edited. I have seen some very real stuff. I feel very alone, majority of people my age are very nieve and dont give a s*#t about anything or anyone else.
Anyways my point is I was starting to loose faith in the world, but I have truely been inspired by your photos. I have been through a lot of your photos and you have taken simple everyday things/ areas and found the beauty in it. Thankyou so much, you have showen me that there still is a little color and beauty in the world.

And just to show you what I mean: Posted by mel at July 5, 2007 10:35 AM (I hope she doesnt mind):

Hi there! I just wanted to let you know that I am planning on recommend your photoblog on my blog as part of Blog Day - August 31st. I came across your blog a few months ago and once in a while I check the beautiful shots of Toronto. Cheers!

I like photos like this, that make me wonder what's going on. The building is enormous compared to the person sitting there in deep thought. Very nice work!

This makes a nice pair with the one from the other day of a solitary man below an interesting facade. Really nice!

I really hope this guy didn't jump.

p.s. Nice to see you moved someone as much as you did in the first post. However, I have reason to believe it's just Sam posting in on his own photos again.

A lot of feeling in this shot. Puts us all in touch with feelings of despair, rejection or regret. The looming building with it's closed shutter shouts loudly - Stay out! Life after all is a pretty lonely thing.
