I was in Salzburg, Austria just 2 weeks ago! Hope you had a good time there. It's a great country. I too have posted some photos from my travel there on my blog.
Cheers!
Posted by UnieX at August 29, 2007 07:17 PMSweet; everything about this photo works so well, the lines, the angle, the shape of the trees, the position of the people, and the shadows.
At first, I thought you had taken this photo from a helicopter.
Is this photo really handheld? From what distance? You must have used a zoom lens from a distant hill or building--that's all I can think of that would explains this angle.
Posted by scott at August 29, 2007 08:14 PMYou have an helicopter hehe?
Posted by unrealcow at August 29, 2007 11:02 PMA tiny oasis in a desert of green?
Nicely spotted, Sam. Like it.
I was in Salzburg many years ago as a child, and if I remember correctly, that is actually the executioner's house in the field by the castle. We were told that it was so isolated, because (for obvious reasons) no one wanted to live next to the executioner!
Posted by MC at August 30, 2007 08:24 PMNice shot. Loved it...
