Great shots. Nobody captures dark, moody clouds quite like you.

Hey Sam. Long time no comment. :)

Do you have any post proc details on this one? I love the hues on the first shot, and I'm just trying to work out how you did it.

Nice job as always.

Great tones, Sam.

How are you liking your nightly light show? Last night around 10:30, they threw in blue and had the lights running up and down the tower.

Beautiful shot. I love those dark clouds!

i noticed the CN change
while i was there a few weeks ago.
the city looks pretty at night
especially from the 51st floor
at the Panorama
but my opinion changes seeing the city in daylight.
having walked pretty much the entire
town in the 2 weeks i spent there
it is my opinion that Toronto
ain't much.
and it seems to have a horrendous homeless issue.
i've lived in several major cities in the States
and nowhere have i gotten hassled
as much as in Toronto.
but still,
i love travelling through your photos.

I see you took pictures from your apartment rather than the roof when they closed it. ;)

I've been visiting this site for quite awhile and always marvel at the great framing of your photos and your attention to the details.

Stunning photos. I really like the dark/light contrasts.

I would love to see some of these new shots taken with your old 350D also for comparison to your new camera!

Fantastic color contrasts, Sam!

I've seen so many shots of the CN tower, but these look stunning with the context that it's in. Well done!

Great contrast between the buildings and the clouds.

Too bad the security guard didn't let you onto the roof to take the picture, but then again, it looks more interesting with the shiny sides of the Atrium instead of the roof.

WAS THE SECOND SHOT HERE TAKEN OUT OF THE FIRST SHOT? OR WERE THEY TWO SEPARATE SHOTS? THEY'RE BOTH AMAZING.

TO THE GUY ABOVE...YES TORONTO DOES HAVE A HORRIBLE HOMELESS PROBLEM...IT'S CUZ CITY COUNCIL IS TOO BUSY GIVING THEMSELVES RAISES AND POUTING ABOUT LACK OF PROVINCIAL/FED FUNDING AND SQUANDERING MUNICIPAL MONEY...

Y'know, as a city-born person (now not entirely unhappily town-based), I often have to end up explaining the allure of the metropolis to friends who just don't get it. Why yearn for pollution and chaos when you can have peaceful greenery or seascape?

Thank you. In the top picture here, you capture perfectly the sheer beauty and humanity of a city. The myriad of lit rooms in tower blocks and office blocks, each one of them representing a variety of lives being led, thousands of people existing together in a small area, under a dramatic skyline. IMHO, I find this extremely uplifting.

I'm no expert in the technological side of your photography, but its effect is stunning. Thank you for sharing it.

I never get tired of these downtown scenes - this is a particularly great set.

Great shot, beautiful deep ocean-like sky.

The homeless situation in Toronto is truly a dire ethical concern that demands deep concern, as humanbeings we cannot afford to allow ourselves to be callous to the needs of others, it is our highest moral imperative to develop our empathic ability for altruism, lest we be doomed to make eachother suffer forever. Toronto being the largest city in Canada has a tendency to attract numerious people, including those in difficult situations, which tends to aggrevate the problem some.
