Comments: curved mirror

Hey , I am jay, am panning on buying a new SLR, have shortlisted two Nikon D80, Canon XTi…. Am struggling to decide between the two.

Have compared the two on various sited (dpreview ,tons of others) but couldn’t decide.
Both look good, Canon is cheaper ($800 with 18-55mm lens) and also comes with a self-cleaning system to clean its sensor….thats cool

But Nikon D80 offers a better lens ( 18-135mm) but for a price $1200 (body and lens)

Both of them donot have image stabilization

I don’t know, if these features make a huge difference ….(image stabilization , self-cleaner… etc etc )…… I am new to SLRs ..all that I have learnt abt photography is from the few photo blogs that I follow……

Which one do you think is better…..

Waiting for your reply

Pictures within a picture. Especially the side reflection of the buildings opposite. Would love to see that cropped and presented.

Hi, Are you using a Polarizing filter here?

Thanks~~ Nice shot btw.

Very nice photo. Beautiful building and a beautiful place. Close to the U of T campus.

Too bad those beautiful reflective windows are aviancidal death traps for our feathered friends. Countless birds die each year flying into the sides of such buildings. Its one reason, why they build office towers differently now.

wow --awesome photo!!! I love the reflections :)

Wonderful one. You always get the same colors and shades for your skies, I guess you use a polarizer and a special treatment in Photoshop ?

Best,
Jay

Great capture - excellent exposure!

I've got a question: I see you rarely use ISO settings below 200 ISO - is this due to the increased dynamic range of ISO 200 vs ISO 100?

i honestly don't know how you manage to capture so much in the photograph. i mean if i was to look at that with my own eyes i would have to shift my head up and down... haha. so pro
