I think this photo is a bit off balance. In my humble opinion caused by the large shadow part on the botom half of the photo. Though the photo itself is kind of intriguing because of the fact that the sunlight is just hitting the building and at the same time a woman in a blue dress appears. Which makes you wonder what she was doing or is going to do.
Bye, Dennis.
Posted by Dennis at June 28, 2007 04:34 AMGreat photo! Two things hit your eyes right away- the light on the water, and the woman in the bright green dress.
Posted by Anne-Marie at June 28, 2007 07:58 AMI love how her bright dress is almost the only colour in this picture. She also reminds me of Audrey Hepburn too!
Good shot Sam~!
Posted by Patrick at June 28, 2007 08:01 AMA great picture AND a hot chick? This photo is doubly good.
Posted by Jojoba at June 28, 2007 09:12 AMInteresting shot. Great lighting and I like the way the "blue dress" is somewhat subtle...made me look twice because I didn't see it at first. Great work.
Posted by Alice at June 28, 2007 09:45 AMI like the water the best.
Posted by Nate at June 28, 2007 09:53 AMit feels like it's moving when I scroll using the scroll wheel. HHEhehehehehHEHeh
Posted by Boreo at June 28, 2007 11:40 AMThis picture is cool. not because it's art, because Sam doesn't have much talent, but because he unknowingly created an optical illusion. if you scroll up and down quickly, the tiles on the window appear to get bigger.
Way to go Sam! Call the science books, and get a quarter!
Go George Bush!!
Posted by coop at June 28, 2007 03:25 PMThe gradient from dark to light on the top lines is great. I dig the title too.
Posted by Dhiren at June 28, 2007 07:49 PMYou really know how to handle that 10-22 lens!
Big ups!
Love the funky effect that happens when scrolling up and down this particular photo
Posted by ludwig at June 29, 2007 08:38 AMbeautiful graphism!
Posted by mnemospection photographie noir et blanc at June 29, 2007 09:43 AMInteresting contrast between the glass paneled cement building and the serene pool of water containnig a natural form boulder and a tall tree.
The potted plants, imprisoned within wire bars, on the cement patio, complete the transition from natural to artificial. A reminder of man's tendancy to mutilate the natural world.
(Yes, man's, as in "hu"man's dropping the "hu" in contraction, as is proper to do in English when refering to the "hu"man species [" "men and "wo"men]. Amazing how this concept illudes so many, who are blinded by sexist sentimentalities. A mistake in logic that has led to rediculious editorial conventions in attempts to meet the needs of political correctness.)
