Future-tastic!

Striking pic.

At first I thought this to be a pretty standard shot, but then I realized the girl jumping. Catching her makes this one real special. All the other people standing around chatting and enyjoying the building, and this one girl jumping around is just an amazing composition. So nice!

Great timing!

wow... you continually blow my mind with your shots

I love the way you caught her in mid-air. Nice timing. And great perspective on this shot. Really give a sense of how large the place is. Great job.

Well how perfect is this? While the building is beautiful, I'm not convinced it's worthy of a jumping episode. This image, on the other hand, makes me do just a little heel kick when no one is looking.. :)

Love the random girl jumping in the air! ;-)

Posted by Tracy at June 5, 2007 09:20 AM

You're either really lucky or snapping away all the time! Or did she just jump in the air for you? Anyway her posture is just perfect. Great capture!

Nice shot of the inside. Looks like the jumping girl is trying to describe how big it is to her friends - great capture!

lol i know the girl and she was jumping cause she felt like jumping lol but its a cool pic of her !!

To echo the other comments, capturing the girl in the air is the icing on the cake to this shot. The subjects in the picture look too perfect, almost posed like those found with architectural concept drawings. A nice fresh photo Sam!

Enjoying Life! :)

This is my first comment after a couple of years of admiring your work.

Great shot. The building is very interesting, lots of lines and neat angles with a stark white surface. The person jumping is a really special touch.

Awe inspiring. The scene you captured is more than reminicent of a designed drawing.

You may also have recorded the first evidence of human flight. Levitation is a great trick.

On more practical matters, it must be a real pain to change those lightbulbs, some are really high up there.

awesome! *points* that's me jumping :) I love this website and great capture!

Although the outside of the crystal is atrocious, the inside completely makes up for it.

The grand opening was incredible, and this shot is incredible as well. Nicely done!

Bravo! You are a great artist. Her energy makes me want to jump too.

Love it!

HUGE angle. The girl certainly makes the shot, setup or not...!

Wow. Nice shot. I love it. I think that the whole ROM expansion was a waste of time and money, though. I mean, where can they put exhibits in this part?

Posted by Ben Kennedy at June 5, 2007 10:59 PM

Hey christine, you're cute! ;)

Posted by Brian at June 6, 2007 09:00 AM

Hey I was there when you shot this. She had a couple attempts at the shot with her photographer. I was standing behind her photographer. Once again, you make reality look even better on screen.

Posted by ed at June 6, 2007 02:01 PM

I can't be the only one who thinks she's cute.

Posted by Scott at June 7, 2007 02:41 AM

Great shot. The girl jumping makes it even better

Does the ROM get to use this photo in their ads without crediting you? (Saturday june 23 R4 edition) Just wondering....

Sam,

This pic was used by the ROM in a full-page ad, am I right? I did not see a credit; did I miss it?

Posted by Michael at June 23, 2007 07:37 PM

Just saw this in a Toronto/Ontario ad -- congrats!
