meh. You take spectacular photos but this isn't one of them. Nice job on getting it so crisp from such a long distance.
Posted by Ian at May 3, 2007 03:25 AMNice helicopter detail!
Posted by DeLuca at May 3, 2007 03:29 AMStonishing, amazing and perfect, i can't describe this pic just like that, it's so pristine and incredible and the sky contrast is great, this is art.
Dude i really love your work, ur the best photographer i know this far, my inspiration!
Posted by Eli Itzhak at May 3, 2007 04:11 AMi love the small details in your pictures (helicopter), you have an eye for such things. great!
greets, robert
Posted by robert at May 3, 2007 05:16 AMi like how the sky fades from blue to brown - in a sad kind of way
Posted by sam at May 3, 2007 05:18 AMAnother beautiful view of your city.
Posted by Laurie at May 3, 2007 06:27 AMNice capture!
Posted by vg at May 3, 2007 07:42 AMThis photo is incredible. When it loaded, I was just like: "Wow!"
I'm not sure what it is that I like so much. It may be the colors in the sky, how they match the building and the nice transition of the sky. Nice tones!
Posted by Steve at May 3, 2007 07:52 AMfield goal! nice shot.
Posted by tkny at May 3, 2007 07:53 AMNice, you got the helicopter in there.
Posted by David at May 3, 2007 08:05 AMI love your street/building photos. they are so.. they just make me wanna go there ;) keep goin', you're my favourive photographer ;)

Posted by Alice at May 3, 2007 09:12 AMBonjour,
Well done shot..Good lighting..Bravo!
tempting.
to jump.
from the top.
so tempting.
so clear cut.
Great timing on the chopper! Did you add the dark corners to the picture?
Posted by Nate at May 3, 2007 10:12 AMLove the colors on this one.
Posted by Daniel at May 3, 2007 11:51 AMhelicopter looks cool there in the middle. shot out of your appartment?
Posted by Andrew at May 3, 2007 01:22 PMWow! Amazing, i love it. Even without the helicopter, it would be a great shot, the helicopter just make it sublime. Congrats.
Posted by el peatón at May 3, 2007 01:26 PMFrom clean sky to dusty ground...
Beautiful color!
Barely noticed that chopper between the buildings. Nice one - good timing, ya?
Posted by Daniel Seguin at May 3, 2007 02:02 PMthe helicopter makes this shot.
also, it seems like the buildings are jutting up from a small planet like in the petite prince story. is that a lense curve or a illusion of size? either way, it doesn't distract for me. kinda of a sweet little touch.
but in summary ---> helicopter.
very best to you!
Posted by i could sleep through a world war at May 3, 2007 03:19 PMThe Scotia building is my favourite skyscraper in Toronto, I just love the juxtaposition of the bland CIBC building with the Scotia one.
Posted by Vinh at May 3, 2007 03:24 PMNice pic. Very lucky to have an helicopter at this moment.
Posted by Naimi at May 3, 2007 03:46 PMI love the browns and blues!!
Absolutely stunning.
Posted by Avery at May 3, 2007 05:40 PMThat is some excellent timing to capture the chopper there in the middle of the towers. Nice graduation in the sky too. Hard not to love that time of the day.
Posted by ROB at May 3, 2007 08:31 PMWow, the helicopter really gives a perspective on how large those buildings are. I love how this is a straight-on shot, not looking up at them.
Posted by Michael George at May 3, 2007 09:31 PMWow!...Just wonderful!
Posted by kathy at May 3, 2007 09:32 PMEye-popping. Removed entirely from the rest of the skyline, and then with a mosquito sharply in the gap. How on earth did you do that? Amazing.
Posted by Hugh at May 4, 2007 12:28 AMYou are truly the master of the fleeting moment captured!
Posted by VickiZ at May 4, 2007 08:00 AMI'll be excessively picky for a moment - the highlight around the scotiabank tower (from sharpening, I'm guessing) is pretty ugly. do you use a LAB color sharpening method, or just a standard unsharp mask?
aside from that - amazing in its simplicity, color, and the chopper... I'd love to know how many you took before you nailed it :)
Posted by t at May 4, 2007 03:44 PMThe good and the ugly side of towers.
I went from admiring your picture of the towers to our local newspaper which showed a picture of some of the 2500 migrating birds killed by lights being left on at night. Bird lover too.
Gord
I was sitting on the patio at a restaurant yesterday and was looking at that EXACT scene.
Posted by Jono at May 4, 2007 10:17 PMJw what the resolution was on the original? I love the lights inside the buildings. So bright from so far.
Posted by Psyra at May 5, 2007 03:27 AMI'll tell you what Sam, That bird loving fool and that guy with the sharpening criticism can go play a little game of 'hide and go *#!& themselves' - Great picture - you're a much better photographer that I am and they're afraid to say that themselves... Good photograph and it truly is art - I escape from reality by your pics! I live in New Mexico currently, I'll be in Alaska for the summer and I'll take pictures and send you some of them. Looking forward to hearing a little feedback - you're good at what you do - keep going for our sake chap
Posted by Smitty at May 5, 2007 04:07 AMThe gradient in the sky is mesmerizing. Is that even possible without post-processing?
