desolate.
so appealing, though.

I see my office. :)

Now that view feels crowded - claustrophobic - and it's a two way street - makes good use of that 10-22.

Having the biker included in the shot really gives it a sense of scale. Nicely done.

Very nice! It's HDR. Right?

Posted by Uri at April 17, 2007 09:13 AM

Hey! That's just down the street from where I work!

Love the angle and the tones in this shot!

You continue to be a source of inspiration and information Sam.

Keep up the great work!

great perspective, it loos as if the image is enlarging when scrolling down

Very cool shot ...the tall perspective offset by the biker...good stuff

Photoshop to straighten those buildings? They look un-naturally straight! Nice shot though ;-)

Just wow. This photo is great. Well done again.

Like the air on this picture!

Wow, that is Awesome! Even if you were standing there in real life, there is no way that you could see up and down like that all at once. That is cool!

Oh Oh i feel so small :) Wonderful perspective

Nice shot.

Where did that big building on the right come from?

Don't remember that being there when I worked in Commerce Court a few years ago!

Some surroundings and not something you see around here in DK.

hey man...
that's awesome

Posted by sarah at April 17, 2007 05:33 PM

Incredibly wide shot, so much to see from top to bottom.

New fan to your site Sam, loving your photos. You've givin me soo much inspiration. Ive just been catching up on your archives, and it takes my breath away. I also reside in downtown, and I feel the same way you do about capturing images, and how you view things....great job once again. i hope to one day be almost as good :)

I love your cityscape shots Sam, but you need more! Toronto is filled with wonderfully diverse architecture, and I can tell you have a remarkable sense for embracing the city's hidden treasures. This one captures the brilliance of the new condo downtown with vividly enhanced contrast really catches my eye. Sam can you please take more widescreen shots of Toronto’s superstructures, I could use a new desktop photo lol. (Currently my laptop has your time-lapse one) :)

Great angle and nice sky. Looks almost like an HDR.

Posted by Tbatty at April 18, 2007 12:42 AM

hey sam,

i love most of your 10mm shots but this one doesn't do it for me. too distorted and pixelly at the bottom.

Posted by paul at April 18, 2007 05:10 PM

strange... it does seem noisy and pixelated near the bottom.. photoshop?

Posted by James Biehl at April 18, 2007 11:56 PM

Great shot as always. You can really feel the height of the city. And the trunk being open on the town car really kind of mkes the scene.

Nice job, one of the better ones of 1 King and friends. I work in both the tower and the historic building, woulda got me in that shot had it been an hour earlier!

btw: Melinda St wasn't designed to be a two way street, but other voted for it, so boooo! Late winter is a quiet time, go back now and see all the lil people :)
