or ... wait
that was the CN Tower
that was flinging them down at people
a few weeks ago.
right?
The 10-22 lens surely gives the steps a considerable shift in apparent size from front to back. Startling how much so. And a little steam cleaning of that stone would make the place a lot more pleasing visually. Judging from the attractive doors the wall between the two units must be quite thin. I like the unusual shade of blue/green on the doors and steps. Nice shot of a venerable old place.
Posted by Hugh Petrie at April 10, 2007 07:37 AMFantastic shot! I love doors and the perspective on this is amazing. Nicely done!
Posted by Alice at April 10, 2007 08:47 AMWonderful photo. I just love the tones. Pretty cold huh? Here too.
Posted by Laurie at April 10, 2007 09:19 AMWonderful angle! And a nice new take on the "doors of Quebec" theme.
Posted by Ravenmn at April 10, 2007 09:22 AMnice symetry.
Posted by Andrew at April 10, 2007 11:24 AMnice perspective. I like how you retain the details in the shadows. However the roof above the doors is a bit flat. A bit more fiddling with the levels would do.
Posted by kelvin at April 10, 2007 11:35 AMExcellent detail, a little too large for my liking though - too much scrolling!
Posted by Craig at April 10, 2007 12:07 PMDramatic and emotion evoking photography. Count me as a new follower.
Posted by Susan Reynolds at April 10, 2007 12:30 PMwow...no no not "walk away"...."run away", hihi ! Nice shot ;-)
