How is that mini so clean in the winter time?
Posted by Anthony at March 19, 2007 03:39 AMMini rules. The distortion from the lese did a good job in my view - interesting result. And the color of the eveyning sky and the car works great!
Posted by David Chabashvili at March 19, 2007 04:09 AMnice red in feeling cold.
Posted by twinleaves at March 19, 2007 04:24 AMAwesome !
Posted by Rab at March 19, 2007 04:51 AMWow ! Looks like an advertising for the car ! Fantastic shot !
Posted by eric at March 19, 2007 04:53 AMWow. I love the scale in this shot. The Mini is simply too awesome. Love the red
very nice. Great light and atmosphere, and the car just pops out of the photo
Posted by Susie at March 19, 2007 06:02 AMWarm red seems to be the theme here. A comfortable greeting of the morning or is it sunset? Either way a nice shot. That church could be where my uncle was the priest 60 some years ago on King street. Curious how the clock face on the shadow side is so bright but handless.
Posted by Hugh Petrie at March 19, 2007 06:26 AMDon't know why, but this one takes my breath away.
Posted by Kent Blumberg at March 19, 2007 06:58 AMThe exposure on this photo is nice, but I'm starting to really appreciate your 10mm lens. The range you get is just spectacular.
Posted by JVL at March 19, 2007 07:41 AMfirst the bug. now the mini. you're making toronto look quite tempting--even in freezing temps. all but the left hand side of the photo. black ice. shudder. shudder.
Posted by Lx at March 19, 2007 08:17 AMLike the color of the sky, very nice.
Posted by Naimi at March 19, 2007 08:28 AMFirst comment - must be the time difference.
Mate now this is just amazing! I keep watching your site (made it my starting page :) and admiring your post techniques. I mean, how do you manage to squeeze out all these juicy colours?? It's surreal!
This Mini looks like it has a V6 engine :)
And the sky in the bg...
Masterpiece.
Cheers
gorgeous!

Posted by joy at March 19, 2007 09:08 AMLove the shot... looks like an ad for the Mini.
Posted by Eric at March 19, 2007 09:37 AMBeautiful shot. I love how the color of the car ties in with the sunset in the background. [oh and we have dirty snow down here in virginia still too - I am getting sick of it!]
Posted by blolive at March 19, 2007 09:48 AMWonderful warm colors! and perfect use of wide angle
btw it's your car?
Posted by Alberto at March 19, 2007 09:50 AMWow! Great colors.

Great work!
Posted by Tyler W. at March 19, 2007 10:23 AMI can look at this one for a long time! The lighting is really beautiful.
For your fans who like trivia - the spire of St. James Cathedral is the second tallest in North America. St. Patricks in N.Y. is the tallest.
عکس بسیار زیبایی شده. تجانس رنگ قرمز مینی با غروب اسمان عالی شده.
Posted by fereshteh at March 19, 2007 11:13 AMYou should sell this image to them. They'd pay some bumbling professional thousands to get a shot worse than this I bet. Nice sky and generally awesome composition.
Posted by jbo_bristol at March 19, 2007 11:48 AMThis is the sharpest photo I have seen in my life.
Posted by Treve at March 19, 2007 12:36 PMstrong lines and great use of colour - manage to make even Toronto winter look welcoming (try living in Scotland - just wet!!!)

The light from that church tower is creepy!
Posted by haakon at March 19, 2007 01:33 PMI like the nice rich colors in this. Is that a parking ticket on the windshield? (left side). Or maybe it's something inside the car sitting on the dash...I can't tell. A nice photo though. Great job.
Posted by Alice at March 19, 2007 02:16 PMyess, a mini cooper.
This picture is quite impressive, as with all of your other pictures.
I love the red mini and set in this photo, it looks terribly cool. Very nice shot. I have enjoyed viewing your doses of imagery very much!
Posted by Thien at March 19, 2007 05:22 PMgreat image. You succeeded in creating an image the viewer wants to explore complete, instead of not looking further then the car !
Posted by Maarten at March 19, 2007 05:27 PMThe straightening that looks to have been done on the buildings kind of makes them look a little strange. Simipy incredible colours though.
This one just like the one from 14 March sure have the wow factor well and truly built-in.
Posted by ROB at March 19, 2007 06:38 PMbrilliant Sam. The whole shot works for me colouring, tones, perspective all awesome. love this shot ;)
Posted by Ryano at March 19, 2007 07:04 PMNice shot. The mini is so clean. Nice job Sam. It seems the mini got a ticket.

Awesome job man!
Posted by Michael at March 19, 2007 08:01 PMAmazing range of light here, well done.
Posted by Jeff Ambrose at March 19, 2007 08:13 PMBonjour,
Wonderful shot! Great frame and dof! Bravo!
just waiting to be used in a mini advertisement, you should make a print and leave it on their windshield next time :)
Posted by jamie at March 19, 2007 08:28 PMGreat Photo. It is amazing how sharp this is, and I love the colors of the mini and the sunset.
Posted by Andrew at March 19, 2007 09:39 PMnice color, great photo. dont like the distortion
Posted by Andrew at March 19, 2007 10:53 PMthis shot pretty much sums up all your masterful photography skills.
composition, perspective, sharpness and post processing at its best.

Posted by David at March 20, 2007 06:02 AMBeautiful! Is that an onlooker reflected in the hood?
Posted by John Keyes at March 20, 2007 08:37 AMAhh, I love the pink coming from behind the buildings!
Posted by Jordan Meeter at March 20, 2007 02:49 PMAmazing photo! Did you use HDR for the background?
Posted by Taylor at March 21, 2007 01:08 AMThis is interesting for many reasons. The wide angle distortion makes the mini seem bigger than it is, which really makes it pop. The converging lines create a sense of nearly never-ending depth in the background. On top of it all, beautiful tones and interesting street activity. Excellent shot, Sam!
Posted by Abe at March 22, 2007 12:18 PMHey, that is my car!!!
my plate is expose -_-"
