Brilliant capture. The detail in the building is fantastic and the cloud overhead is a great contrast. It looks as if it's about to pour down...a bit like here in Belfast :)

Wow, simply amazing. Do you think you could post a wall paper version of this magnificent image?

Posted by Mark at March 16, 2007 09:49 AM

Dramatic shot, Sam. Looks polarized.

Wow! Love the contrast between the colums and the fluffy clouds. Wallpaper?

To me, this looks like a giant urinal. Allt he statues on top look like they are taking a wee wee into the midle, two things about this disturb me. 1, why is everyone peeing together? I guess there weren't any people of. ... Oh how can I say this without getting destroyed by the emo tree huggers on this site. Let's just say different people who are very good at basketball, so no one was intimidated. And 2. Why do you like taking pictures of people peeing Sam? This PROVES that it was you in the bathroom behind the picture with the eyes cut out!!! You sir are a terrible person!!

Thought that you might like to know that a developer on God of War 2 reads your blog.

I love your work!

I just discovered your web site, it is a great work you are sharing. I am just a photo aficionado, thinking of buying a camera and plumge into a new hobby. As I was strolling back into time, your photo on Nov 6/2006 cautht my eye (I am an Art Historian) and the process of layering. Did you do it digitally (how?) or in the dark room?
I visit dayly some photograph web sites, it is almost a religious practice, yours for sure will be one.

Thank you very much for your generosity, sharing your work with all of us.

Bonjour,
Well done shot! Nice composition!..Bravo!

First off. I want to say that I am sorry. Latly I have said some things that might have been taken as offensive, and I didn't mena that. I had no idea what the I ranian people went through, but I educated myself last night by going to see the movie 300. I can't believe the way Persian's were represented in that movie. I felt sick to my stomach. I'm glad the movie was true to history in showing the ogre's, fat men with blades for arms and Giant Rinos. It was a hard lesson learned. I weep for thee.

300 may have stood against many. But I stand behind my Persian brothers and sisters in saying no more Hollywood! No more!!

Oh! I love this photo! I was lucky enough to see this view in person last Saturday but I didn't take a picture at this angle. Thanks for inspiring happy memories. :-)

AWESOME

Posted by HyeSeung at April 26, 2007 01:46 PM

Great pic. However, the columns and statues would be classical and neo-classical. Baroque was a lot heavier and ornate: scroll work, gold, etc. See the Palais de Versailles.

Any chance of getting a wallpaper version of this?
