it's nice to see (especially through such beautiful pictures) that somewhere in the world you still have winter during winter time..
Posted by paolo at March 5, 2007 04:47 AMLooks like my friend, Lauren.
Posted by joyce at March 5, 2007 06:15 AMWhat entertains me about this is that despite the large amounts of snow, people are still out and about. Here in the US, as soon as it starts snowing, it becomes dead.
Eitherway, beautiful picture.
Posted by Lisa at March 5, 2007 06:21 AMGreat shot again Sam. Hope you & yours are warm & well.
I love the ddoi book which gets many comments from visitors. If I choose to write a comment on certain photographs in the book, I suppose I would do so on those photo's dates here online?
Posted by lyn at March 5, 2007 06:29 AMGood one. I don't envy that woman trying to manouevre her bike on the snow-covered street.
Posted by Jack at March 5, 2007 07:29 AMI know you've been busy, but three shots from the same corner on the same day at the same time constitute more of a panorama than multiple posts. That's like posting your walk down the street; here's my first step, and now my second...
Posted by JVL at March 5, 2007 07:45 AMIt's official.
You make me want to get a camera and take pictures. Not that I'd ever be good at it but I want to capture things.
Posted by Paladin at March 5, 2007 07:57 AMNice grab. I love being on my bike almost more than anything. I could never do this an enjoy it, though...
Posted by Joe at March 5, 2007 08:07 AMNice to see all the color of the signs and lights when it's a winter storm scene.
And that biker is my kind of person. I did 17 years of winter biking in Ottawa. Great fun. Good exercise. Quicker than a car. Cheaper than a bus. And easier than walking on ice.
Posted by Hugh Petrie at March 5, 2007 08:37 AMThe recent photos of people interacting with the city and the snow is spectacular. Very nice work.
Posted by joe at March 5, 2007 08:59 AMStunning!
Posted by Adam F at March 5, 2007 10:06 AMWow! Just found this website yesterday. Amazing imagery. Interesting to record everyday events & things that would otherwise go unoticed. They’re like magical moments.
Posted by Brian Branch at March 5, 2007 10:28 AMGreat photo.
About snow photos: do you use any sort of colour correction to get more vivid colours? Like the snow option on most cameras perhaps?
Posted by Eric at March 5, 2007 10:36 AMGreat job with the exposure. I like seeing the falling snow.
Posted by Alice at March 5, 2007 10:48 AMHi Toronto!
What an amazingly "brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry-COLD!" shot!
Really nice...why am I singing "The Wizard Of OZ" theme song all of a sudden? LOL!
Hope you start feeling Springy SOON!
OH, just read you bio...nice! My nephew is a CG editor (special effects) for Lucas & ILM! Thought you'd enjoy that tidbit! ;)
Take care!
=)
wow must be really hard to cycle in the snow like that. i'd wipe out a million times.
Posted by Andrew at March 5, 2007 01:16 PMstill snowing ? ;-) If these images are all shot on one day, you sure got a lucky day because also this one is great !
Posted by Maarten at March 5, 2007 04:57 PMGreat image. Love the neon sign in the background advertising "Slushies" not that you would want one that time of the year.
Posted by ROB at March 5, 2007 06:51 PMI absolutely LOVE your snow shots!!!! Specially cuz that's such a familiar corner to me. Feels like my back yard. :D

Posted by Nate at March 6, 2007 10:00 AMGreat shot. Captures the weather very well. It takes some courage to bicycle in a weather like this.
