Comments: waiting in snow

The snow pictures are great and very welcome. Here in The Netherlands, Europe the winter isn't coming at all! And thanks for the tip for taking good snow pictures. Let it snow!

Great shot. You don't know how I'd like to have such kinda weather here in Oz. It's damn hot here these days. Alos, thanks for the tips, well said.

Eh, I know I'm not tired of them; they all look great, and it's awesome to see our city during all seasons.

Besides, they're mostly pretty! =P

This couldn't be a Thursday photo, the cars are moving too fast.

Nice crisp forground for the cold and fuzzy background for the actual blizzard.

I've enjoyed the snow photos. I live in Virginia. We normally receive a few good snow storms a year. However, this year we have only seen flurries. It just doesn't seem like winter without the snow. Thanks again.

What puzzles me in this is the color in the car and traffic lights while everything else appears to have been taken in B&W (or converted). Rather tricky.

This quality certainly makes for an interesting image. Reminds me of many days waiting or walking in similar depressing and sometimes elating weather.

eaven if you feel sorry for taking snow-pictures in the last days: I like them more then the italian ones because since I miss the snow up here in denmark, i always aprechiate your pictures, so just continue. I'm looking forward ;)
Thanx, Larissa

Just perfects, these snow pictures. And very exotic for whom is living in tropical area, like myself!

I, for one, love your snow pictures. The trees, and architecture in this one give it more of a small town feeling rather than being in the 5th largest city in north america! Too bad you couldn't be at the intersection where the cops were giving people hard hats to dash across the street to avoid the ice falling off of the CN Tower!! Those news pictures were a hoot!!!

I'm not tired of the snow pictures, for one! Glad to see more Toronto photos being posted now. :D

I love the photos of Toronto because they chronicle the changing life of the city. I look forward to them and miss them when you post holiday pics.

I'll take the snow pictures now please. In July, it might be another matter! ;-)

Posted by richgold at March 4, 2007 05:43 PM

I lOVe the snow pics. I live in Brisbane, AUstralia, so it's amazing to see such 'unreal' reality through my computer... hm. thanks.

what a colossal waste of resources to drive around in downtown in the snow. They should make TTC fare 50% cheaper in days like that to better the traffic, the air, and the economy.

I love the snow photos. The muted reds/pinks are beautiful and make this picture wonderful. The presence in the foreground of the dark coats with snow flakes is lovely.

The snow pictures look fantastic man. Here in Arizona (Phoenix, that is) we have no idea what winter is anymore! But I remember it well from growing up in New York City :-).

Thanks for all the tips, too! I just got my new Rebel XTi, and I will certainly make good use of all of your advice!

Keep shooting and making us smile! :-)

Great perspective and leading lines. Nice exposure as well.

Thanks for the tutorial.

Love the contrasts... texture on the coat... the shallow visibility down the street. Really nice image.

Posted by ryan at March 5, 2007 01:56 AM

stunning again!

I like the way most of the shot is pretty monotone other than the traffic lights and car taillights. Nicely done!

I hope you don't mind, but I've used your photograph in a post I made with a poem I wrote. I've linked the image to here should anyone want to see where it came from.

This is the link to the post: http://pandaheroes.wordpress.com/2010/10/04/excuse-me/

Should you want it removed please inform me. The fastest way I'll receive a message is if you comment on the actual post, but either way, I'll get the message eventually!

Great shot by the way. Lovely composition.
