Great natural feel to this streetphoto. I love the composition and I know how hard it is to capture snow in an appealing way! If you would like to contribute some pictures to my site for artistic photographers, I would be more than happy! We will give you useful feedback on every picture you upload and we will post your photoblog's address so that even more people will have the pleasure of finindg it! Hopefully you could find some inspiration there too. Cheers // Ralf

Great perspective in this shot - it really portrays a snowy winter day in Toronto. And I'm also impressed that you managed not to get any snowflakes on the lens!

we've had 34cm (thats 16in) here in montreal. don't you just feel like throwing yourself in the snow after a storm like that? :D

Compositionally, this shot is perfectly balanced. The cars, the lights, the roof, the person, all make for a very even picture. Plus it looks cool!

stunningly beautiful in the reality of it all. I heart snow! ;-,

You know what you HAVE to do? Take this same picture in the middle of summer....

That Starbucks looks inviting given the weather conditions. The figure in the foreground was a good inclusion to give depth to the scene as well as interest to an otherwise sparse foreground. Although it's obviously cold there, the photo has some warm hues in it which save me from shivering and give the picture an uplifting feel.

I love the person in the foreground, and how they're hunched so resignedly. Perfect capture of the mood! It's also amazing to see how empty the intersection is.

hmm sunday morning crepes sounds awesome

Congratulations on the awesome winter shot. I've attempted similar shots many times, and they just turned out bland and flat looking.

Again, congrats on the great photo.

could use a cup of coffee! especially when seeing this snowy weather ... very nice picture! i like the motion blur of the snow, really shows this scene is taken in action.

UGH I want to LIVE above that Starbucks! I grew up up north, I love winter, I love Toronto, hubby is from Toronto. We are in retirement-mecca Florida and it sux. I keep saying to hubby "please can we move to Toronto and live in the city in flat above a coffee shop on Queen?" And there, you just took a picture of what I've been saying all along! :)

I like the division of this foto into very discernible quadrants. Great tones. Very interesting.
