Nice, I need to get me a 350D!

Well, the white clock makes the image ;)

Weird! The clock appears to have no minute hand and I'm left wondering if that is a real person on top ringing the bells or if it is just part of an animated display?

On my screen the clock is so dark I had to auto-enhance it at least three times to see the clock clearly. Of course, you likely darkened it for the drama, as you appear to do with many.

Remembers me a nice place to visit...

Very moody image. I like it! It's nice the way most of the building is in silhouette except the clock.

Simply Amazing.

I have a similar photo that i took on Anzac day last year. Which is a dawn service in memory of the lives lost by the australian and new zealand troops, when they were over in turkey.

What a shot.

nice photo. i like how its a silhouette and at the same time you can see the clocks. good job.

For me, this is simply one of your best images on here. The clock face that is seen through a completely black building is ominous and powerful. The bird flying through the air just adds to the feeling of this photo.

The sky also looks amazing. Really great composition here.

Great light - just the silhouette of the building with exception of the clock :-) Good idea !

This has everything: visual variety, dark tones and shadows and a touch of mystery.

nice shot man. nice shot!

Nicely exposed to have everything a silouette, but the clock faces still visible.

For me, the clockface os too bright and would have worked better if it was more subliminal.

Unless you were going for a surrealism themed shot in which case it works well but is a tad cliche.

Love the cloud formation. I like how the entire building is a silhouette but the clock is visible

My art tutor once told me that that one should not have flat black areas in a painting. He thought that all areas should have interest in them. I suppose this point could be interpolated to apply to photographs as well. However, it's something upon which I do not agree. I believe it is fine to have void areas in a composition. In this case the flat black adds mood and drama to the picture and by contrast gives further strength to the parts which comprise the important subject matter of interest.

By the way, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the exposure on the clock faces. They are not too dark! 'Well adjusted' monitors will display them 'positively' fine.

I think that clock hasn't got a minute hand (just a counterweight on the hour hand), so it reads 2:30, not 8:12. But who am I to correct you, when I am not busy diligently posting daily photographs for the benefit of the anonymous Internet?

Your work offers not only a window into the world (most of which I haven't visited), but also a reminder to keep my eye open for the unexpected among the everyday. Thanks for all the wonderful photos.
